You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bruce is a dog lover’s dream! He is great with adults and kids, loves car rides, warms quickly to other dogs, is attentive and observant to his surroundings but doesn’t seem bothered by much. He responds very quickly to his name and while he doesn’t know tricks, his name recall is excellent. He loves walks and does well on a leash. He loves to play and tumble and is incredibly gentle. (I’ve never felt his teeth when he plays!) Bruce is a big cuddle bug and after he gets ample time to play, he loves to snuggle up and fall asleep on your lap. He loves belly rubs and maybe doesn’t love baths, but he does fine in the tub. He is potty trained and will go to the door to be let out. He is not aggressive with food or toys and he doesn’t chew on things he shouldn’t or dig holes in the yard. He is crate trained and while he can be trusted to roam the house for short periods during the day, he puts himself to sleep in his crate at night. We used the crate for the first week and the transition was smooth.  He did mark a few times when we brought him home, but with supervision and guidance, he stopped quickly after arriving and hasn’t done it since.  **Bruce does not like cats, at all, and will not do well in a home with cats. We’ve tried introducing him to ours several times, in different ways, just trying to get him used to the smell, etc. It doesn’t decrease his response when he sees the cat though. Simba loves dogs, it just does not go well. I don’t think Bruce wants to eat him, but he doesn’t want to be friends. If he liked cats, I would honestly have a really hard time giving him up because he really is perfect in all the other ways! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes 7+ days.  Keep in mind, the animal you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold.   Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100% foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules.  Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.    **Dog/Puppy applications -  Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. We do not do first come first serve but we place the dog/puppy in the best suited home. If you have questions about the Dog/Puppy process please email** July 22, 2024, 2:26 pm

Meet Charlie. He is a friendly and playful little Yorkie up for adoption now at our shelter. He is updated on his shots and does not have any health issues. If you can take good care of this puppy kindly use the link below and put in your Application for him. We respond to applications only so if you contact us when you have not put in an application you will not get any response. Charlie is 16 weeks old now. The owner got an urgent job appointment out of state and there was no one to look after him so that is why she dropped Charlie to us so we can find a good home for him.
