Story
Meet Winnie! This little gal has a big underbite and came from a hoarding situation along with Bubbles, Booger, Prissy, and Boo Bear. Our rescue partner says they are all great pups who love to snuggle other dogs! From Winnie's Current Foster: " Winnie Guess who's back!! Winnie has been busy raising puppies, but she is ready to find her forever home. She is a snuggle bug and always loves to be next to you. She hasn't mastered the doggie door, but she is potty trained. Though she is a little timid initially, she will gained courage after a short time with me. She had issues with my steps down to go outside, but after a few weeks, not only was she running down them, but she would go down the steps into the basement. She can jump on my bed but does so at her whim, so not always. Winnie sees herself as a princess, so she demands assistance to get up on the bed. Winnie has been a joy to have around the house for several weeks and will make the perfect companion for any household. From Winnie's previous foster: "This gal is the sweetest girl you'll ever meet; Winnie has made a complete 360 turnaround; when Winnie came into our home, she was timid and quiet; throughout our time together, I have watched her go out of her shell. Winnie loves to sit outside, sunbathe, and have the wind blow through her hair. She especially enjoys long naps and lots of cuddles! Winnie gets along with children of all ages, cats, dogs, and chickens. Winnie would make a great fit in any home. I know she will steal your heart the way she stole mine! I can't wait for you to meet her!" ADOPTION FEE: $300 We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Story
Meet Prissy! This tiny gal came from a hoarding situation along with Bubbles, Winnie, Booger, and Boo Bear. Our rescue partner says they are all great pups who love to snuggle other dogs! From Prissy's current foster: "Hey there, I'm Prissy - your soon-to-be partner-in-crime and resident goofball of the dog world! Yep, my name might sound all fancy, but don't worry, I'm just as down-to-earth as they come. Picture this: me, lounging in your arms like a furry little monarch, soaking up all the attention and treats I can get my paws on. Oh, the life of luxury! Now, let's talk dining. I'm a bit of a foodie, you see. From filet mignon to the occasional fallen French fry (hey, waste not, want not, am I right?), I've got a taste for the finer things in life. And if I don't get my way? Well, let's just say I've got a bark that could rival a howler monkey. Potty training? It's a work in progress, my friend. I've got the whole peeing outside thing down to a science, but when it comes to number two...let's just say I'm still figuring out the logistics. But hey, who needs a fancy toilet when you've got a plush carpet, am I right? Talk about luxury! At night, I'm a regular party animal - barking at shadows, chasing my tail, you name it. And when I'm all partied out, there's nothing I love more than snuggling up close and dreaming of tomorrow's adventures. So, if you're in the market for a furry friend who's equal parts charm, quirk, and downright hilarity, look no further than yours truly. Swing by and meet me today - I promise to keep you laughing 'til the cows come home!" Meet Smith & Wesson! These little cuties arrived at our rescue partner together in the overnight dropbox and are a little shy just yet. Fortunately, they are now in foster homes and decompressing! We are evaluating to see if these boys are bonded and need to be adopted together. From their foster regarding Smith: " Smith - doing so well! He's more shy, but comes up for pets every once in awhile. He's getting there and gaining confidence!! He loves turkey, that's how I gained his trust. He gets along great with the other dogs. He has a silly personality as well. ADOPTION FEE: $425 We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bruce is a dog lover’s dream! He is great with adults and kids, loves car rides, warms quickly to other dogs, is attentive and observant to his surroundings but doesn’t seem bothered by much. He responds very quickly to his name and while he doesn’t know tricks, his name recall is excellent. He loves walks and does well on a leash. He loves to play and tumble and is incredibly gentle. (I’ve never felt his teeth when he plays!) Bruce is a big cuddle bug and after he gets ample time to play, he loves to snuggle up and fall asleep on your lap. He loves belly rubs and maybe doesn’t love baths, but he does fine in the tub. He is potty trained and will go to the door to be let out. He is not aggressive with food or toys and he doesn’t chew on things he shouldn’t or dig holes in the yard. He is crate trained and while he can be trusted to roam the house for short periods during the day, he puts himself to sleep in his crate at night. We used the crate for the first week and the transition was smooth.  He did mark a few times when we brought him home, but with supervision and guidance, he stopped quickly after arriving and hasn’t done it since.  **Bruce does not like cats, at all, and will not do well in a home with cats. We’ve tried introducing him to ours several times, in different ways, just trying to get him used to the smell, etc. It doesn’t decrease his response when he sees the cat though. Simba loves dogs, it just does not go well. I don’t think Bruce wants to eat him, but he doesn’t want to be friends. If he liked cats, I would honestly have a really hard time giving him up because he really is perfect in all the other ways! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes 7+ days.  Keep in mind, the animal you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold.   Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100% foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules.  Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.    **Dog/Puppy applications -  Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. We do not do first come first serve but we place the dog/puppy in the best suited home. If you have questions about the Dog/Puppy process please email lawsdogprogram@gmail.com** July 25, 2024, 3:35 pm
