APRIL 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. DAMEON and his 4 siblings (BAELON - VISERYS - AEMOND - AEGON) were turned in to the shelter as strays. But by their mannerisms and as healthy as they were, we believe they were kittens born to a domestic mama cat. These guys are the absolute sweetest kittens ever! Say hello to DAMEON, a delightful Abyssinian Tabby from Hemet, California known for his playful spirit, sweet demeanor, and, of course, his love for cuddles! DAMEON is a true charmer who not only loves his humans but also adores his fellow cat friends—he’s all about socializing and spending time with his feline pals. Whether he’s chasing a toy, curling up next to you for a cozy cuddle, or just following you around like a little shadow, DAMEON is sure to fill your home with warmth and joy. A little diva at heart, DAMEON knows exactly how to work his charm and will happily accept being pampered with attention. He’s a big fan of canned food and treats, so don’t be surprised if he lets you know when it’s time for a snack—his adorable “feed me” look is impossible to resist. But when it’s not snack time, DAMEON is all about affection, and he’ll happily climb into your lap or let you scoop him up for some extra love. One of DAMEON’s favorite pastimes is following his humans around the house, making sure you’re never far from his gaze. His playful, energetic nature means there’s never a dull moment when he’s around, and you can always count on him to bring some excitement and fun to your day. He thrives in a loving environment where he gets plenty of attention, and he’s more than happy to share his love with his fellow cats. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who’ll shower you with affection, treats, and maybe even a few diva-like demands, DAMEON might be the perfect fit for you! Do you think your home is ready for a loving, cuddly little shadow? Apply at workinwhiskers.com! DAMEON is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / ABYSSINIAN-TABBY MIX. He is over 3 year and 8 months. He has lived with a dog and Guinea pigs. He is good with cats. He has never been around young children but has been with pre-teens. DAMEON is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. RICHARD CASTLE and his siblings (KATE BECKETT -ALEXIS CASTLE - KEVIN RYAN - JAVIER ESPOSITO) were saved by a sweet man that takes care of his cats in his neighborhood in Hemet, California. We named them all after the show CASTLE. And lets introduce you to him. RICHARD CASTLE: A Regal Spirit Seeking a Patient Heart With a name as distinguished as his looks, RICHARD CASTLE is an undeniably striking cat. He is an Abyssinian tabby mix which makes him an intelligent, high-energy, and affectionate cat, often described as a "Tabyssinian" or a ticked tabby domestic shorthair. These mixes typically feature the athletic, slender body and large ears of an Abyssinian, combined with the distinctive ticked coat pattern, and are known to be vocal, curious, and very people-oriented, acting as loyal, active companions A True Connoisseur with a Playful Side: One of RICHARD CASTLE's greatest joys in life is his wet food – he absolutely adores it! Providing him with delicious, high-quality meals is sure to be a wonderful way to connect with this discerning gentleman. When not indulging in a gourmet treat, RICHARD CASTLE is a lover of playtime. He delights in chasing toys and engaging in playful tussles, especially with a feline friend. He truly enjoys the company of other cats and would thrive in a home with another friendly feline who's up for some playful wrestling matches. Learning to Trust, One Step at a Time: Having come from a difficult past, RICHARD CASTLE has learned to navigate the world with a bit of caution. He's comfortable with the presence of humans, often enjoying being in the same room as his people, soaking up the warmth of companionship. However, he's still learning to trust physical affection and isn't comfortable with being touched just yet. He'll need a patient adopter who understands his boundaries and is willing to let him initiate contact when he feels safe and ready. Imagine the joy of watching this resilient boy slowly open up and potentially seek out gentle pets on his own terms – it will be a truly rewarding experience for the right person or family. His Ideal Kingdom: RICHARD CASTLE is searching for a quiet, patient home where he can feel secure and continue to build his confidence at his own pace. An understanding adopter who respects his need for space and allows him to come to them for interaction will be the perfect match. His love for playing and his enjoyment of other cats means a home with a friendly feline companion would truly be a dream come true for RICHARD CASTLE. If you're looking for a handsome, independent cat with a regal presence and a heart full of potential, consider giving RICHARD CASTLE the loving, patient home he deserves. You'll be providing a safe haven for this special boy and will be rewarded with the deep satisfaction of watching him blossom into a confident and affectionate member of your family. RICHARD CASTLE is an DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / ABYSSINIAN TABBY MIX. He is about 2 years 0 months old. RICHARD CASTLE is good with cats. In his foster home, he was around other kittens and older cats. He has never been around children or dogs. RICHARD CASTLE is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. MARCH 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. KOALA was saved by an independent rescuer back in late 2021. She was young. Well fast forward to 1 year ago, the lady was killed by a drunk driver. We were asked to help with her rescues and to our dismay, her house was a horrific hoarding case. We pulled 55 cats that were still alive. Our rescue took 26 of those cats into out rescue. KOALA is the eight one to be ready for adoption. And still with us after a year. KOALA can be shy at first. She gets comfortable very quick and is curious about everything. She can get startled, but will come back and investigate. She gets very excited about her can food. He is a very good assistant and loves to help you do your chores (well she will chase the broom and mop). Meet KOALA, a young feline filled with a vibrant spirit and an independent streak. Her sweetness is as infectious as her playful antics, making every moment with her a joy. She's curious and smart, always on the hunt for a new adventure. Her goofy, gentle nature will have you chuckling, while her mellow demeanor ensures she's never too much to handle. She'll flop on her side to catch your attention, her tail curling in delight. KOALA is loyal and brave, her energy boundless. She's a cuddly companion, ready to offer comfort or join in playtime. This brave, energetic cat is waiting for a forever home where her unique personality can shine. Adopt KOALA and let her fill your life with laughter, love, and endless amusement. KOALA is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / AMERICAN RINGTAIL ABYSSINIAN-TABBY MIX. She is over 4 years 6 months old. She has lived with cats and dogs. She has never been around children. Soft. Sweet. Impossible to resist. That's true of the dessert... And it's definitely true of Mochi. Mochi is a 1 year old blue-eyed heartthrob with stunning markings, a gentle personality, and enough charm to convince almost anyone that one more cat is a perfectly reasonable idea. He's playful, affectionate, wonderfully social, and believes every day should include a little conversation, a little playtime, and a whole lot of love. If Mochi had a motto, it would probably be: 'Why sit quietly when you can tell everyone about your day?' Mochi is delightfully talkative. He enjoys chatting with his people and isn't shy about letting you know when he'd appreciate a snack, a toy, a few extra pets, or simply your undivided attention. He's the kind of cat who makes your house feel wonderfully alive because there's always someone there to greet you with a cheerful little conversation. And when it comes to affection... Mochi definitely has preferences. His absolute favorite thing in the world? Cheek rubs. Followed very closely by ear scratches. Find those two magical spots, and you'll quickly discover you've unlocked the secret to one very happy cat. When playtime rolls around, Mochi is all in. The ball track game? He could happily entertain himself for quite a while. Springs? An excellent invention. Cardboard scratchers? Five stars. He approaches toys with the same enthusiasm he brings to everything else—with curiosity, confidence, and just enough silliness to keep everyone around him smiling. Of course, after a successful day of supervising the house and defeating imaginary toy opponents, Mochi is more than happy to settle in beside his favorite people for some well-earned relaxation. One of the things everyone notices about Mochi is just how easy he is to love. He's friendly. Easygoing. Confident without being demanding. Affectionate without being clingy. He's the kind of cat who seems to fit naturally into almost any home. Mochi has been living with another young cat named Orion, and the two have become wonderful companions. While they don't have to be adopted together, they'd certainly be happy if a family happened to be looking for two young best friends to double the fun. He's also the kind of cat who could easily join a home with other pets or respectful children. His adaptable, social personality makes him a wonderful candidate for families looking for a cat who enjoys being part of the action. If Mochi could design his perfect forever home, it would include: A basket overflowing with toys. A sturdy scratching post. A cozy place to nap after a busy day. Plenty of cheek scratches. And people who don't mind carrying on the occasional conversation with their cat. (Trust us...he'll do most of the talking.) Imagine walking through your front door after a long day and immediately hearing a happy little voice announcing your arrival. Imagine laughing as Mochi proudly bats his ball around the track for the hundredth time like it's somehow just as exciting as the first. Imagine settling onto the couch while one handsome blue-eyed cat curls up nearby, soaking up ear scratches and reminding you that life is simply better together. Some cats quietly become part of your family. Mochi becomes part of your daily routine, your favorite conversations, and your happiest moments. Mochi has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150. If you're looking for a playful companion with movie-star looks, a heart full of love, and plenty to say, Mochi is ready to sweeten your life.  July 11, 2026, 2:43 am

Story
* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an online application at www.dpsrescue.org.    Every Garden Needs Two Special Flowers... Meet Lily & Rose! Some flowers are beautiful on their own. But every once in a while, you find two that were simply meant to bloom side by side. Lily and Rose are 5 month old bonded sisters whose personalities complement each other as perfectly as their names. They are sweet, gentle, playful, and incredibly loving, and after spending every day of their young lives together, they're looking for a forever family that will let them continue their adventure as a pair. Think of them as the perfect buddy movie... One is the outgoing tour guide. The other is the quiet best friend who eventually steals the show. Together? They're absolutely irresistible. Lily: The Social Butterfly If Lily were a flower, she'd be the one leaning over the garden fence to introduce herself to the neighbors. She believes laps were invented specifically for cats. If you sit down... Congratulations. You've just volunteered. Lily adores people and happily accepts head scratches, cuddles, and afternoon naps curled up beside her favorite humans. She's wonderfully confident, affectionate, and has the kind of personality that makes visitors immediately ask, 'Can I pet her?' Her beautiful coat, with markings reminiscent of a Ragdoll, only adds to her charm. She's absolutely stunning—but she has no idea. She's far too busy making friends. Rose: The Quiet Beauty Then there's Rose. If Lily opens the conversation... Rose quietly listens before deciding whether you're worthy. She isn't shy because she lacks confidence. She's simply thoughtful. Rose likes to take a moment to figure people out before giving away her heart. The wonderful part? Once Lily has decided you're a good person, Rose seems perfectly happy accepting her recommendation. It's as if she says, 'Well...if Lily trusts you, I suppose I can too.' Before long, you'll notice Rose sitting a little closer. Accepting a few pets. Joining you on the couch. Then suddenly you'll realize she's become just as attached to you as you've become to her. And honestly? Watching Rose's confidence blossom is one of the most rewarding parts of knowing her. Better Together These girls truly bring out the best in one another. Lily gives Rose confidence. Rose gives Lily companionship. They wrestle. They chase toys. They curl up together for naps. They groom one another. And after a busy day of kitten adventures, you'll often find them sleeping nose-to-nose, looking like two flowers that closed their petals for the evening. Their bond is beautiful to witness and exactly why they're looking for a home together. Designing Their Dream Garden If Lily and Rose could decorate their forever home, their wish list wouldn't be very long. A tall cat tree where they can survey their kingdom. A sunny window for bird watching. A basket overflowing with toys. A couple of ridiculously soft beds... ...although there's a very good chance they'll choose to sleep together anyway. Most importantly, they'd love a family that understands some of life's greatest joys come in pairs. Double the Cats... Double the Love People sometimes worry that adopting two kittens means twice the work. Lily and Rose would respectfully disagree. They keep each other entertained. They comfort each other. They burn off their zoomies together. And they ensure neither one is ever lonely. Instead of one little heart filling your home... You'll have two. And somehow, they make each other even sweeter. Imagine coming home after a long day to find Lily happily greeting you while Rose peeks around the corner to make sure the coast is clear. Imagine watching them race up their cat tree, chase one another through the house, then collapse together for a nap as though the Olympics just ended. Imagine spending years watching their friendship grow while they become part of your family. Some flowers are simply prettier together. Lily and Rose are one of those rare pairs. They have been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350 for the pair. If your home has room for twice the purrs, twice the laughter, and a lifetime of sisterly love, Lily and Rose are ready to bloom right into your heart. July 11, 2026, 2:43 am

Story
Winnie is a three year-old Siamese mix, that prefers to spend most of her time outside hunting lizards and rodents. She sleeps inside, but can be skittish around kids. She’s very friendly on her terms, and is most likely to cuddle if you sit down near her, she will approach and start purring. Happy to answer any questions.
