Story
I've always loved cats. When I moved to Santa Clara, I wanted a cat to keep me company. I found the Moon in a shelter, I never thought of "buying" a cat. At first she was shy, but little by little she gave us the joy of her company, she is a companion and likes to be together when we are doing something or simply doing nothing. After I found out about the pregnancy, we were very happy because our family would be complete. But with the arrival of the baby everything changed, at the same time that we were excited about our enlarged family, we had the news that we would need to move and we came across several places that do not accept animals. Finally, we tried very hard to find a home that would accept our little Lua but without success, we have the contact days to move and unfortunately we can't find any home that accepts it. I am very disappointed to have to do this, but with hope that she will find a home that makes her happy and owners who love her.

Meet the coolest cat on the block! We believe that Bear is an Abyssinian mix. He has the ticked fur pattern of an Abyssinian plus some of their behavior traits. Bear has a big personality that will capture your heart. He craves your total attention and is exceptionally capable of letting you know exactly what he wants whether it's chin scratches, non-ending pets, or belly rubs. Bear is a large, beautiful boy with unique markings that make him truly unforgettable. He and his sister, Honey, were rescued together as young kittens and have been deeply loved ever since. Unfortunately, their owner is now at risk of losing their home, and Bear is searching for a new family to love him. Bear was understandably shy when he & his sister first came to their foster home but with patience and kindness, his sweet personality quickly shines through. He has become incredibly affectionate, playful, and social. Bear is the most loyal and loving companion you could ask for. He is now living at our adoption center and has made friends with the volunteers and the other cats. Honey and Bear can be adopted as a pair or separately, and each would do best in a loving, patient home where they can feel safe, flourish, and share the endless love they have to give in return. Bear has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and is up to date on flea prevention. We adopted Osiris when he was a kitten. We had a dog at home. When we brought him home and he played well witht the dog and they even slept together. When our dog died, we got a new puppy. They puppy is very active and wanted to play with the cat. Osiris didn't like the dog from the beginning. We have tried, unsuccessfully, for several years to help them get along. Unfortunately, we have to make a terrible choice -- to keep the dog or the cat. We had to choose the dog since he is part of my exercise program. Walking the dog is essential to my healh since I'm approaching 80 years old in two months. We love Osiris and want him to go to a good, loving home where he will be comfortable. I look forward to meeting someone who will love Osiris as much as we do.

Risk Free Foster/Adoption! Pal is half Abyssinian and Tabby. He is hesitant to change but will adapt. He's a bit nervous at first but will warm up, especially in the evenings. He loves to sit on your lap and sleep. We've had him since she was a couple of months old. We are no longer able to have Pal at our home due to personal reasons. So here is an opportunity for you! Pal is content to be home, but is also used to going outside. Pal's biggest goal in life is to eat. He would be best on his own with lots of human interaction. That said, a home with another calm cat would work too. Pal is on diabetic liquid medicine that is added to wet food. We will pay for his Senvalgo medication. He thrives on a grain-free diet. If you would like to foster/test drive Pal, we're ok with that and will take him back if it doesn't work out.
