Story
They call me Max Goldman – you know, that’s one of those fellows from “Grumpy Old Men.” I’m not grumpy, at least not any more. Maybe I was at first. I came here with a whole lotta other cats from a home with too many animals. I was scared and in pain. I had bad teeth. But I went to a foster home where it’s quiet, and I get great care and loving attention. I had some more teeth pulled, so I only have a few left. I feel a bit better. I can be chatty, especially when I want food or brushing. I rub up against my foster mom when I’m brushed, even in the more sensitive back areas – tail, hind legs, and butt. I haven’t engaged in playing with toys, although I’ve appeared interested at times. During the day, I mostly sleep in my cat bed on the couch, or lounge on the cat tower where I can lie in the sun or watch the birds. Despite being quite skinny, I move around very well. When my foster mom tried to put me in a crate at night due to incontinence issues, I could move surprisingly fast trying to escape her! I have no problem jumping onto the couch, dining room chairs, or the cat condo. I am stronger than I look!I have consistently been eating Weruva Press Your Dinner Chicken Breast Dinner Pate (warmed to room temperature), and my incontinence issues have been improving. Yum! I like this food. I’m a lovable, affectionate mature guy. I’m not a geezer, though. I’m 12, but I do have some special needs, so please talk to an adoption counselor about that if you’re interested in adopting me. I will be staying in my foster home, so anyone interested in adopting me should call the shelter to make arrangements to meet me. If you’re a special person with a heart of gold who’s looking for a special cat, I’d love to be your golden boy, Max.Adoption fee $50 + microchip fee $30 + tax
