Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Pawla is not in the CARE foster cat system. She is listed as a courtesy and CARE is not responsible for any problems with the animal or with the adoption process. My name is Pawla and I am quite the gorgeous girl.   I  enjoy being around people but prefer a quiet environment.  I would be happy to get all the attention from you so I would be best as an only cat. I need to live indoors full time since I am FIV+.  But don't worry, I am not contagious and I am a healthy girl.  If you are interested in sharing your life with me submit an application at chathamanimalrescue.org.  Read below about  FIV. What is FIV?  Feline Immunodeficiency Virus(FIV) is a virus that attacks the immune system of cats.  There is no treatment or cure.  FIV is a cat-only disease and cannot be transmitted to people or dogs.  FIV+ cats should be kept indoors to prevent exposure to illness, sterilized and fed a balanced diet.  They should be seen by a veterinarian at least once a year to ensure their ongoing good health. Transmission:  FIV is passed from cat to cat mainly through deep bite wounds, the kind that occur during fights and territorial disputes involving feral and unsterilized males.  Casual, social behavior such as sharing a water/food bowl and mutual grooming will NOT spread FIV.  There is no evidence that cats in the household with an FIV+ cat will acquire FIV from the FIV+ cat. Lifespan:  Multiple medical studies show that cats who are FIV+ live just as long as FIV negative cats.  FIV itself does not cause severe clinical signs, and FIV+ cats can live many years without any health problems.  For additional information contact your veterinarian.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 24, 2026, 2:49 am

Story
Good afternoon, my cats name is Soxs! I got her in 2025 January. She was born October 6th 2024. She’s very food oriented and loves to play. She has gotten bit better with other cats but she still struggles at times. She a bit smaller than most cats but she has a lot of energy and can get a bit heated. She’s very loving and cuddly once she warms up to you! I leashed trained her at an early age and she loves to go for walks outside! It’s more of her walking you than you walking her but she loves to explore. She’s a bit talkative because she just loves to be in the scene. Loves watching TV and just hanging out. She has a slight runny eye but she lets you clean it daily, she does not mind!

These cats are in Graham, North Carolina too!

Story
Gizmo is a very sweet and affectionate boy who loves to snuggle! He gets along with other cats and with dogs. Gizmo has mild CH. He can do anything other cats can, he just does it a little slower. He uses the litter box and does not need assistance with eating or drinking water. Gizmo was found as a stray, very badly emaciated but he's healthy and doing great now! He is ready for his forever home!
