Story
Meet Our Sweet, Independent Girl 💛Looking for a calm home and a patient heart, this lovely Abyssinian just needs someone willing to meet Maisy where she is.This beautiful 10-year-old Abyssinian girl has a stunning, warm-toned coat that’s just as lovely as her unique personality. Maisy's looking for a calm, patient home where she can feel safe and loved at her own pace.Maisy has a gentle, independent spirit and does best with someone who appreciates a cat who shows affection in her own special ways. She enjoys being near her people and will happily spend time in the same room, relaxing in her cat tree or stretched out on the couch. When she’s feeling comfortable, she will let you pick her up to sit in your lap for a few cozy minutes—little moments she chooses to share.Over the past few months in foster care, Maisy has made wonderful progress and continues to grow more trusting each day. She enjoys soft head pets and can settle into them for a couple of minutes before letting you know she’s ready for a break. She communicates clearly, and with a patient, understanding adopter, she will continue to blossom.Once Maisy feels comfortable, her playful and sweet side really starts to show—you may find her rolling onto her back when you walk by, a quiet little invitation for attention. She has even been known to scoot a toy around to get her exercise in, and she quickly picks up on routines—don’t be surprised if she’s ready and waiting for her evening treat right on time. One of Maisy's favorite things in the world is a good box—especially one that’s just a little too small. Watching her curl up and snooze, looking completely content, is guaranteed to make you smile.Because Maisy is declawed and can become overstimulated with too much handling, she would do best in a calm home with adults or older, respectful children, and someone experienced with cats who understands and respects feline boundaries. She would thrive as the only pet in the home—no other cats or dogs—so she can feel secure and fully relaxed in her space.Maisy is a little overweight right now and would benefit from a healthy routine and gentle encouragement to stay active. She may not be the kind of cat who is constantly in your lap—but for the right person, Maisy's quiet companionship, growing trust, and those little moments of connection will mean everything. For more information or to apply to adopt, please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/

Story
Luanna is a beautiful, buff-color, five-year-old Abyssinian mix seeking her forever indoor home. Playful, affectionate, and highly intelligent, she would thrive as the only cat in a home with adults or older children where she will receive plenty of attention and playtime. She loves her people!!! She has never been around dogs but would probably get along with a larger cat-friendly dog. Luanna is spayed and up-to-date on all vaccinations, medical, and dental. A vet check and home visit is required once an adoption application has been approved. Call or text Fern at (xxx) xxx-xxxx for more information or to visit this special girl.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Pawla is not in the CARE foster system. She is listed as a courtesy and CARE is not responsible for any problems with the animal or with the adoption process. My name is Pawla and aren't I a gorgeous girl?   I  enjoy being around people but prefer a quiet environment.  I would be happy to get all the attention from you so I would be best as an only cat. I need to live indoors only since I am FIV+.  But don't worry, I am not contagious and I am a healthy girl.  If you are interested in sharing your life with me submit an application at chthamanimalrescue.org.  Read below about  FIV. What is FIV?  Feline Immunodeficiency Virus(FIV) is a virus that attacks the immune system of cats.  There is no treatment or cure.  FIV is a cat-only disease and cannot be transmitted to people or dogs.  FIV+ cats should be kept indoors to prevent exposure to illness, sterilized and fed a balanced diet.  They should be seen by a veterinarian at least once a year to ensure their ongoing good health. Transmission:  FIV is passed from cat to cat mainly through deep bite wounds, the kind that occur during fights and territorial disputes involving feral and unsterilized males.  Casual, social behavior such as sharing a water/food bowl and mutual grooming will NOT spread FIV.  There is no evidence that cats in the household with an FIV+ cat will acquire FIV from the FIV+ cat. Lifespan:  Multiple medical studies show that cats who are FIV+ live just as long as FIV negative cats.  FIV itself does not cause severe clinical signs, and FIV+ cats can live many years without any health problems.  For additional information contact your veterinarian.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 15, 2026, 11:08 pm
