Story
I’m looking to rehome my adult cat to a safe, loving home at no cost. This is a very difficult decision, but it’s being made with her best interest at heart. I am currently expecting and no longer in a position to give her the best care and attention she needs.

Story
Blueberry may move a little slower these days, but she still has plenty of love — and biscuits — left to give. This 12-year-old Abyssinian mix is the definition of resilient. After arriving at the shelter, it became clear that what looked like “litterbox issues” were likely the result of untreated diabetes, obesity, and weakness in her hind end that made getting into a traditional litterbox difficult. Since receiving medical care, Blueberry has been showing us just how much life and sweetness she still has left. She’s currently doing well on Bexacat for her diabetes, takes her medication easily hidden in food, and has been comfortable with a simple routine and a low-profile litterbox. She may also need ongoing Miralax for suspected megacolon, but so far her conditions have been manageable with basic care and monitoring. And her personality? Absolutely lovely. Blueberry leans into pets with her whole heart. Sit on the floor with her, and she may carefully climb into your lap for attention. Through every exam, medication, and adjustment, she’s continued making her signature “Blueberry biscuits” — those sweet little air kneads that remind everyone she still feels safe enough to love.Blueberry is bright, alert, affectionate, and deserving of a soft place to land. Blueberry doesn’t need perfection. She needs patience, compassion, and someone willing to give her the comfort and dignity every senior cat deserves. In return, she’ll give you gentle companionship, quiet affection, and all the biscuits she can make.

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Willow! Willow was born in our care and is a friendly, social young kitten. She is a bonded pair with her brother River and they must be adopted as a pair. These kittens are accepting applications. They are 6 weeks old and are eligible to go home at 8 weeks of age. They are litter trained, eat wet and dry food and are young enough to learn to be with dogs, cats and friends! This kitten is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, had a full examination by a veterinarian, the mom Combo tested Negative, microchipped and will need to be spayed/neutered by the adopter at 5 months of age. The adoption fee for this kitten is $150, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the kitten is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application (it does not commit you in any way but allows us to help you to find a great match). Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.*** **You must be at least 25 years old to adopt an animal from Canines & Kitties Rescue.** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. Cats adopted through Canines & Kitties Rescue must be indoor only and may not be declawed (unless already declawed at the time of rescue). *If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application. *
