Story
Name: Kai Currwnt location: S.Korea Age: About 4 years old Sex: Male Weight: 34 kg (75 lbs) Breed: Great Pyrenees Vaccination/Neuter Status: Fully vaccinated & neutered Personality with Adults: Kai is incredibly gentle, affectionate, and well-mannered. He enjoys human companionship and loves being petted, often leaning in for more cuddles. At the same time, he is very independent and perfectly content spending time on his own without being demanding. He has no separation anxiety and shows no behavioral issues. With Children: He is just as calm and friendly with children as he is with adults. No concerns at all. With Other Dogs: Kai shows polite interest when greeting other dogs, but doesn’t become overly excited afterward. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes and does not show aggression—even toward more reactive dogs. With Cats: He has shown a tendency to chase cats outdoors, so careful management would be needed in a cat-filled environment. House Training: Kai is both indoor and outdoor potty trained but prefers going outside. If using pee pads indoors, a large and clean area is important, as he prefers a tidy space. Energy Level: Low (2/10). He is very calm, rarely gets excited, and prefers resting over active play. Separation Anxiety / Barking: No separation anxiety. He is quiet and does not bark when left alone. Handling & Affection: Kai absolutely loves being touched and will gently lean into you, asking for more affection. Leash & Walks: Excellent leash manners. He walks calmly without pulling and responds well when called. Due to his size and strength, basic handling awareness is recommended. He waits well at crosswalks and enjoys slow, relaxed walks. Escape Behavior: None. He does not attempt to run away indoors or outdoors. Rescue Story: Kai was rescued from a shelter after being abandoned. Special Notes: Kai is truly a model dog—gentle, calm, and well-behaved both at home and outside. It’s rare to find a dog with such a stable temperament and no behavioral issues. However, he is not a “clingy” dog and may not be the best match for someone looking for a constant shadow. He has received heartworm treatment in December 2025.

Story
Jethro & Elly May — A Love Story in Two Dogs 🤍 When Elly May came into rescue she was fighting for her life. Distemper. Touch and go for weeks. But her brother Jethro never left her side — and we believe he's the reason she made such a complete and remarkable recovery! These two have never spent a day apart, and they never should. Jethro is a big galumph who thinks he's a lapdog. Elly May is a goofy princess who survived because her brother wouldn't give up on her. Together they are gentle, loving, and completely devoted — to each other and to their people. They'll cuddle up, check in on each other during walks, and shower you with affection like it's their full time job. These are not couch potato dogs — they are strong, smart, and built for a purpose. As Pyrenees mixes, they are natural guardians who would thrive on a farm or ranch protecting livestock, or with an active family who loves hiking, running, and outdoor adventure. They are incredibly intelligent and would respond beautifully to advanced training. Their ideal home has: -- Large securely fenced yard or acreage -- Space to roam and a doggy door -- Experience with large or independent breeds -- Ideally no other dogs in the home, or appropriate intro to dogs of similar size -- People who are home enough to give them the attention they deserve They are currently located in Los Angeles but we will help coordinate transport for the right family — including to the Pacific Northwest where their big fluffy energy is basically a lifestyle requirement. If you have the room, the love, and the adventure in your heart for this pair — please reach out. They've already proven they can get through anything together. They just need someone to open the door. Contact Come & Stay Dog Rescue to learn more or arrange a meet and greet. There is some urgency as their current foster family is moving out of state shortly. Please contact at: information@comeandstay.org.🐾
