Story
Georgia is a gorgeous 6 month old Great Pyrenees mix puppy that was unfortunately surrendered to the shelter at no fault of her own. She’s a little shy and unsure of things, but she doesn’t understand why she’s at the shelter to begin with! She’s a quick learner, knows how to sit and is noted to be house trained, great with dogs and great with children. She’s up to date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative and will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Come meet this adorable baby in kennel 302, her ID is 16717. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Cleo is a five-year-old Perri Doodle who came into my life in July 2025. He was given to me by a friend who was going through a divorce & could no longer care for him. Before coming to my home, Cleo spent most of his days in a crate and was only let out to eat and go outside to relieve himself. When Cleo joined my home, I wanted him to finally experience freedom and comfort. He has been allowed to move freely throughout the house and enjoys having access to a large backyard. However, Cleo is not accustomed to being around other people, and because of his limited past experiences, he has escaped the yard a few times. My son & son-in-law have tried to help me work with him, but due to all of our schedules, we simply cannot give Cleo the consistent time, attention, & structure he truly needs. I am looking for a patient, caring home where Cleo can receive the attention, training, and stability he deserves. He has so much potential, and with the right person or family, he can truly thrive.
