🍯🐾 Meet Honey — As Sweet as Her Name! 🐾🍯 Honey is a beautiful young Great Pyrenees/Australian Shepherd mix with a BIG heart and absolutely no concept of personal space! 😂❤️ This affectionate girl is a certified Velcro dog who loves snuggling, lounging on top of the couch, and being as close to her humans as possible. She's also energetic, loves running outdoors, and would enjoy a securely fenced yard where she can stretch her legs. Honey has plenty going for her! 🐾 Great with other dogs and children 🐾 Crate trained and does well when left alone 🐾 Knows sit, down, and paw 🐾 Loves bones, stuffed toys, and especially cow ears! 🐾 Accustomed to living indoors with a family A few things to know: Honey prefers to eat separately from other dogs, and she experiences recurring skin rashes related to allergies that will need ongoing attention. She's comfortable sleeping in her crate but would rather be hanging out with her people when they're home. Her compatibility with cats is unknown. Honey came to Melissa's Second Chances through no fault of her own and is ready for a family who can offer plenty of affection, exercise, and a comfortable place on the couch (or on YOU!). 🥰 ----------------------------------------- Interested in adopting? Story
We adopted Gracie in 2024 but she was on her own before that. As a result, she can be a bit anxious, but we’ve made a lot of progress. Unfortunately, our life situation is changing, and we will no longer be able to give her the care and attention she deserves. While initially reserved, Gracie is a sweet, loving dog once she gets to know you. She can be quite playful, although she’s usually content to relax around the house. She sometimes reacts to triggers like sudden loud noises and is protective of the household. She’s an effective watchdog. She has had one minor bite incident that broke skin (no medical attention needed), but the majority of the time her anxiety is very manageable. She is currently in training and is progressing very well! Her ideal situation would be as a solo pet in a quiet home with adults only or possibly older children who are willing to continue her training. She is potty trained, sleeps in her crate at night, and walks great on a leash. A great companion
