Story
Meet Sparrow 🐾 Sparrow is a 3-month-old Great Pyrenees puppy with a gentle soul and a fluffy coat that’s impossible to resist. While most puppies are busy causing chaos, Sparrow is surprisingly laid-back and thoughtful. He’s smart, listens well, and has just the right amount of “selectively chatty” puppy personality to keep you entertained. This sweet boy sleeps well in his crate at night and is making great progress with potty training—he’s almost there! Sparrow is soaking up everything around him and proving to be a quick learner. And here’s a fun fact: Sparrow has six toes on his hind feet! Those extra dewclaws are a classic Great Pyrenees trait, originally helping the breed navigate steep, mountainous terrain. How cool is that? Soft, smart, and full of charm, Sparrow is ready to grow up with a family of his very own. 🤍🐾 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Story
Julie – Shepherd/Livestock Guardian Mix Puppy Meet Julie! Born around 4/13/26, Julie is a sweet, thoughtful puppy with a soft coat, soulful eyes, and the kind of gentle expression that makes you want to scoop her up and never put her down. Currently about 15 pounds, she is expected to grow into a medium-large to large adult, likely in the 50–70 pound range. Julie appears to be a Shepherd/Livestock Guardian mix, a combination known for intelligence, loyalty, and devotion to family. While every puppy is an individual, dogs with this type of heritage often grow into steady companions who enjoy being involved in whatever their people are doing. They tend to be observant, smart, and eager to learn when given positive guidance and consistency. Right now, Julie is busy being a puppy. She is learning about the world one adventure at a time and will need a family committed to helping her continue building confidence through training, socialization, and plenty of positive experiences. Expect puppy antics, growing pains, and lots of laughs along the way. Julie has a softer, more laid-back look than her sister, but don't let those floppy ears fool you—she's just as ready to explore, play, and discover everything life has to offer. She would love a family that is excited to watch her grow from an adorable puppy into a loyal lifelong companion. If you're looking for a sweet puppy with a bright future and a face that's impossible to resist, Julie may be your girl. All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Adoption fee is $250. Story
💙 Meet Duvall Duvall is a striking young Husky/Great Pyrenees mix with unforgettable blue eyes, a gorgeous blonde coat, and an even bigger personality. At just over two years old, he's intelligent, affectionate, athletic, and looking for a family that understands what it means to share life with an energetic working-breed dog. This handsome boy absolutely loves his people. Whether you're heading out for a hike, working in the yard, teaching him something new, or relaxing after a busy day, Duvall wants to be part of whatever you're doing. He's happiest when he has both a job to do and people to love. Like many young working breeds, Duvall isn't a dog who's content with a quick walk around the block. His ideal home will provide daily opportunities for physical exercise and mental enrichment. Long walks, hiking adventures, training sessions, puzzle toys, scent games, fetch, and structured play all help keep his active mind and body satisfied. When his needs are met, Duvall is an incredibly rewarding companion. Duvall also enjoys other dogs—but he's still polishing his social skills. His play style is enthusiastic, physical, and sometimes a bit overwhelming. He would do best with confident, well-socialized dogs his size or larger that enjoy active play and are comfortable setting appropriate canine boundaries. Any introductions to resident dogs should be done slowly and thoughtfully, allowing everyone time to adjust and build positive relationships. Rushing introductions or expecting instant friendships simply isn't fair to Duvall or his future canine companions. Because of his intelligence, energy, and size, Duvall is looking for adopters who are committed to continuing his training and helping him succeed. Consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement will go a long way with this eager-to-learn boy. Experience with working breeds is a plus, but more important is a willingness to invest the time and energy needed to help him thrive. A securely fenced yard would be wonderful, but it's not a substitute for exercise, enrichment, and engagement. Duvall is looking for a family that sees their dog as a true partner in life's adventures—not just a pet who spends most of the day entertaining himself. Duvall has already experienced more transitions than any young dog should. What he needs now is a family committed to giving him the time, patience, guidance, and outlets he deserves. In return, you'll gain a loyal, loving, intelligent companion who will happily join you on every adventure for years to come. If you're ready for an active, devoted best friend and understand the unique needs of a young working-breed dog, Duvall can't wait to meet you. 💙🐾 P.S. Duvall is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know him in your home before finalizing the adoption. It’s a great way to ensure the perfect fit! ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt.
