Sometimes, adoptions don't work out, and that's okay. At the Humane Society of Oldham County, we believe in being transparent because our goal has always been to find the best possible match for every dog in our care, and every family that applies. After spending a little over a month in his adoptive home, B-Dawg let his family know that living with two children under 6 years old just wasn't the right fit for him. While he never harmed either child, he made it clear that the busy, hands-on nature of young kids was more than he was comfortable with. His family made the difficult but loving decision to return him so he could find a home better suited to his needs. The good news? B-Dawg was super excited to see all of his old friends and dog team back at the shelter! He settled right back in and has been the same sweet, squishy, lovable boy we've always known. B-Dawg is playful with other dogs, did well with children ages 6 and older, and is both house-trained and crate-trained. He's a big teddy bear who loves attention and is ready to be someone's loyal best friend. We know B-Dawg's perfect forever family is out there.
