Story
Dani is an eight year-old great Pyrenees who likes to spend time outside but is also just as happy lounging around indoors. She is low energy, but also excited to go on walks when you’re readyShe’s a protector and has the loud Pyrenees bark and has been known to sneak food off of the kitchen counter. She has a lot of personality, but is a really excellent dog the ideal home for her would be someone who has expensive land or farm for her to live on. The reason we are rehoming her is because she’s becoming less and less tolerant. of children.

Story
My story starts sadly with unfortunate situations. Hopefully you can help write a happy ending. Given the name “Max”, short for Maximus (meaning “The Greatest” in Latin), my life was a struggle from day one. My mom had been chained outside in freezing weather and gave birth to myself and 6 other pups on the harsh, unforgiving dirt covered ground she called home. Luckily, Molly’s Place found out about us and came to take us to live with them.  Adopted as a puppy, I had hope for a wonderful future. But people are not always kind.  My adopter’s decided they no longer wanted me and I was given away on Craig’s list, not once, not twice, but THREE times.  After the Third time, I found myself in an over populated shelter. Fortunately, Molly’s Place had microchipped me as a pup. Mollys got the call and didn’t hesitate to make the 4 hour round trip drive to bring me back to safety. Now 5 years old, Hound/Great Pyrenees mix, I have grown into a beautiful boy, approx. 80#, with black markings that accentuate my expressive eyes, droopy black ears and white body.  My energy level is moderate as I continue to mature with a zest for life as a shining example of resilience of animals and the impact of kindness shown by Molly’s Place Rescue to continue on with their commitment to me. Already house and crate trained, I come when called and walk well on leash. Due to my past experiences still haunting me, I can be unpredictable with children and other dogs. I will need to be an only dog with a fenced in yard to ensure my safety. In a home, my personality will light up the room. Described as Goofy, I am great at playing fetch, love to give and receive affectionate and really try hard to please my humans. I also will flip over going belly up to play “Wiggle Worm” as I kick my legs up in the joy of giving myself a back rub on carpet. My dream is to find my permanent loving family that will offer me the attention and commitment I desperately crave.  I look forward to a future filled with new experiences and a chance to bond forever.   Only YOU can change my fate and help to erase my past. Your compassion could change my life forever. I am Max, a survivor with an open heart hoping for a better life. Kennel License # 7198 To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org.
