PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.6/29/26 Uma is a beautiful 9-10 week old Great Pyrenees mix. She and her littermates were born to a 'neighborhood dog' and brought into rescue at about 6-7 weeks old. These babies are so sweet and good natured. They are vetted and ready to find homes of their own! They are ready to go to their new homes the weekend of 7/10. Because we dont know what these pups are mixed with, they probably are not suitable for livestock guardian homes. Located in Arkansas and can be adopted locally, or can transport to the New England area if adopted there. If adopted in New England, adopter will need to pick up (or arrange for a trusted friend/family to pick him up) on a Saturday in PA, NY, or CT. Residents of other states may adopt as well, as long as they can meet our transporter along their route. For questions or more info, email apps.aasr@gmail.com. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.6/22 Sweet Susie. This regal lady is the epitome of kindness. She comes to us from a local shelter with a high euthanasia rate. She came to the shelter with a friend, but unfortunately we couldn't get to them in time and her friend was euthanized before we even knew about her. Susie is about 4-5 years old and has clearly had a hard life. She is very thin, and is heartworm positive. But we will have her treated for the heartworms, and the weight will come along. She weighs about 60 lbs but she needs to gain about 10 more pounds. We do not know her breed, we just have her looks to go by. Maybe Pyrenees mix but she is likely a mix of many breeds. She is the sweetest girl and is just so, so gentle. She has been excellent with my other dogs. She's very non confrontational. Susie is friendly with everyone, but needs to gain some confidence. You can definitely tell that people haven't always been kind to her. She is learning quickly, though. She bonds hard and fast to people that are nice to her, as if she is just craving kindness and companionship. She will start in the Paws in Prison program on Monday, 6/22. She will spend the next 8 weeks brushing up on her manners (she really doesn't need this, as she has great manners already), and learning basic commands and building her confidence. We would love to have a home lined up for her once she graduates. Located in Arkansas. She is available to adopters here in Arkansas, but also available to New England adopters with transport available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NJ, or CT on Saturdays. She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.  For more info or questions, email apps.aasr@gmail.com.
