Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.7/8 Believe it or not, these pictures are of the same dog. They’re before and after shots. (More pictures to come).  This gorgeous girl is named Nessie, and she had to get a super short haircut after her rescue because of all the mats. Nessie is a big, beautiful, friendly, and engaging girl. She gets along famously with everybody…adults, kids, other dogs, and even rascally cats.  At 1 year old, Nessie already weighs 80 pounds. And she’s going to grow a little more. We believe she is Poodle/Great Pyrenees. Nessie entered the Paws in Prison program last week (7/3) where she will spend 8 weeks polishing up her manners and learning to be the best girl she can be. We would love to have a home ready for her when she graduates. We think Nessie is going to bound thru training and steal everybody’s heart along the way. If she’s already stolen yours, don’t dillydally on applying. Nessie won’t be available long!  Located in Arkansas and can be adopted locally, or can transport to the New England area if adopted there. If adopted in New England, adopter will need to pick up (or arrange for a trusted friend/family to pick him up) on a Saturday in PA, NJ, or CT. Residents of other states may adopt as well, as long as they can meet our transporter along their route. See our facebook or email us and we can send you all the pics!  Our facebook- https://www.facebook.com/adoptastrayrescueorg •Age: about 12 weeks old, estimated DOB 4/15 •Breed: mom appears to be a Pyrenees or Anatolian Shepherd mix? She weighs about 80 pounds. Dad is unknown. Mom is pictured below. •Mira currently weighs about 10-15 pounds. We’re still getting to know her but so far she’s your typical playful puppy. Friendly and sweet. Super cute, pictures don’t do her justice. Working on house training and leash training. Good with other dogs. There were cats in her previous foster home, but I’m not sure how much exposure she had to them but she’s just a baby and should be able to learn to live with cats. She is fostered on a farm with lots of free range chickens, cows, etc so she’s getting exposure to lots of animals. She’s also fostered with young kids.   In New England. She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
