Story
This is Sophia! She’s a 2 year old Akbash. She is quite possibly the happiest goofiest dog I have ever met. And largest. She knows basic commands but could use more training. She loves kids, cats, and other dogs and is very gentle. Her favorite things are walks, car rides, and zoomies outside with the kids. We inherited Sophia after a friend’s dad passed away. When I agreed to take her I had a very flexible work schedule, but just a few weeks after she arrived my employer mandated an 8 hours in office schedule. We are gone now 12 hours/day during the week and have tried to make it work, but Sophia is a very sweet and social dog and it is cruel leaving her home so long alone. The perfect home would be where someone is home a lot, she loves kids especially ones that can run with her, another dog friend would be good, and just humans willing to love her ❤️ I do not have any paperwork for her or records she was just handed over without much information. All I know is she is spayed.

These pups are in Hudson, Wisconsin too!

Story
History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own! A Note from the Foster: Angie is a great girl who is doing well settling into foster care! She is very friendly, LOVES other dogs, and seems to be unbothered/unphased by cats. She does good with children as well and all people. She is potty trained as long as she goes out routinely. She is good in the crate and sleeps soundly at night in there. She is a funny, friendly, and beautiful girl who hopes to find her forever home soon!

Story
History and A Note from the Foster: Hey there, future family! My name’s Waddles, but my foster family calls me “Dora” because, well… I’m an explorer! Every yard, trail, and living room corner deserves a proper sniff inspection if you ask me. I’m an 8-month-old Anatolian Shepherd mix, and if you’re looking for brains and beauty, look no further. I’m crate-trained, potty-trained, and I walk like an absolute pro on a leash (seriously, my foster mom says I’m the best walker she’s ever had!). I currently live in western WI with a really cool 9-year-old human, my foster mom and dad, and a cat named Cheeto. I think Cheeto’s awesome — I tried to play with him, but he didn’t seem into it. I may have whimpered about it, but I got over it and went back to stealing his toys instead. I’m loyal, independent, and a bit of a goofball. My favorite toy is a stuffed moose that I proudly parade around like a trophy (no pictures, though — I’m camera shy!). I love cuddling once I get to know you, and belly rubs? Oh yes, please! I do best with school-aged kids or older, only because I’m a big girl still learning about sharing my snacks and toys. I had a tiny bit of resource guarding at first, but with a little training (and love), I got the hang of it fast. I’d love a home with: Humans who like adventure (walks! exploring! sniffing everything!) A dog sibling, but only if they're friendly and not too bossy Maybe even a cat friend — as long as they don’t mind a curious pup A cozy bed for when I’m ready to curl up and snooze after a big day Honestly, I’m just looking for a family who’ll love me as much as I’ll love them. I’m loyal, silly, smart, and sweet — basically the full package. So what do you say?

Story
Adoption Fee: $760 + tax Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption! ADOPT ME
