Story
This is Sophia! She’s a 2 year old Akbash. She is quite possibly the happiest goofiest dog I have ever met. And largest. She knows basic commands but could use more training. She loves kids, cats, and other dogs and is very gentle. Her favorite things are walks, car rides, and zoomies outside with the kids. We inherited Sophia after a friend’s dad passed away. When I agreed to take her I had a very flexible work schedule, but just a few weeks after she arrived my employer mandated an 8 hours in office schedule. We are gone now 12 hours/day during the week and have tried to make it work, but Sophia is a very sweet and social dog and it is cruel leaving her home so long alone. The perfect home would be where someone is home a lot, she loves kids especially ones that can run with her, another dog friend would be good, and just humans willing to love her ❤️ I do not have any paperwork for her or records she was just handed over without much information. All I know is she is spayed.

These pups are in New Hope, Minnesota too!

Story
Age: approximately 5/24/24 Weight: 45lbs Dog friendly: yes Cat friendly: yes, dog smart/savvy cats Kid friendly: yes, may do best with older/considerate children only Potty trained: yes Crate trained: yes Hi! My name is Poppy and I am a Great Pyrenees/Husky mix with a tiny bit of Australia Shepherd in there too. When I came into rescue, I tested positive for heartworm! After several months of treatment and waiting, I am all healthy and ready to find my forever home. I currently live with 2 dogs and 2 cats. I LOVE playing with my doggie siblings and would do best in a home with another dog to play with and continue teaching me how to be an inside puppy. I also like my feline siblings and like to chase them when they run away. I would also be okay living in a home with a confident or dog savvy cat. I am potty and crate trained. I am most comfortable when I can see my foster siblings when I’m in my crate. It helps me feel not so alone. I sleep in bed with my foster mom and dad, or on my dog bed on the floor. I’m not super cuddly and won’t try to climb in your lap or jump on you, but I will come up for pets or lay next to you on the couch. My favorite toys are Nylabones or Benebones! I could chew on them ALL DAY LONG. They are the best. I also love squeaky toys and could maybe figure out fetch with some guidance. I love to be outside and I have loved all of this snow! I do okay on a leash, but I would prefer a nice fenced in yard to run around in. After all, I am mostly Great Pyramees and love having a yard to patrol and wander in. My foster mom says I am the sweetest and easiest girl to take care of. She also says I am so funny and silly too. Adoption fee: $525

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Simon and his sister Sasha were discovered trying to survive out in the cold up north in Becida MN this winter. Volunteers posted out sightings of them in hopes of locating an owner, and/or to try to help them. It took a couple weeks but with dedicated focus Sasha and Simon were able to finally be captured, in the nick of time before the weather plunged even more! A kind of "Holiday Season miracle" you might say! Simon and Sasha are delightful dogs, very open, happy, sweet and love to play with each other, or with other dogs. They play outside and settle in the home, very nicely, have a mellow quality in the home.  They are good with dogs, cats, and kids. They are estimated at 8-9 months old and 50-60 lbs, will some growing still to do. Our best guess is that  they may Great Pyrenees/ Golden Retriever mixes - but we're not sure! We usually try to split siblings up due what can be sibling syndrome, but these guys are very open and into people collectively and separately so we think they could get adopted as a pair, but would consider splitting them up too.  If you would like to learn more about Sasha and/or Simon, please submit an interest form on our website:   https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. http://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org *Adoption fees range from $450-$650 + Mn tax* redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue  All animals fully vetted appropriate for age: DHPP vaccine, lepto vaccine, rabies vaccine,  4DX test (@8months or older),    microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention.  *Since we typically don't know a rescue dogs actual genetics, their breed and estimated size when grown on their bio is just an educated guess based on information and observations we have.*   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 10, 2025, 4:55 pm
