Story
Introducing Kit: part Great Pyrenees, part Doberman, and 100% professional weirdo. She’s about three years old, has legs for days, and a nose that works overtime like a tiny detective on an endless case. Kit has gone from “stranger danger” mode to “sniff your hair while you’re watching Netflix” mode, and that’s what we call progress.   Her daily routine is very official: three laps around her kennel like an Olympic track star before dinner, followed by stealing the couch or your bed because, honestly, she’s royalty and crates are for peasants. She’s learning that humans = belly rub dispensers, and she’s totally here for it.   Kit is a huge fan of dogs, though she sometimes comes in a little too hot on first introductions (think: bossy camp counselor vibes). Once she knows who’s in charge, she’s good to go, and she’s the best babysitter for puppies. What she is not into? Cats, chickens, birds, squirrels, or basically anything small and fluffy that isn’t her designated sibling. For those, her prey drive kicks in and—let’s just say—it’s a hard no.   She’s obsessed with running, but luckily, she’s not a fence-jumper. A nice sturdy yard is her dream stage for zoomies. When she’s not sprinting, she’s all about long walks, soft toys, and claiming furniture like it’s her birthright. She’ll even listen to “leave it” when she’s yelling at the neighbors, which is basically the dog version of good manners.   Kit is still a little shy at first, but once she warms up, you’ll find a goofy, loyal, slightly dramatic best friend who makes the small victories (like coming when called) feel like winning the lottery. She’s been waiting long enough—this couch hog is ready to claim your couch and, more importantly, your heart.       Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 6, 2026, 10:33 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Sarah. I was born in January 2026. I’m a very sweet puppy full of positive energy; I love playing ball in the backyard and going for walks—and I’m very calm when we walk together on the street. I also enjoy jogging alongside a bicycle; I’m really good at it. I sleep in my crate all night, and I also rest there if my mom has to go to work or run errands. I’m house-trained and generally no trouble at all. I have a calm nature and like it when people say hello as we pass by. I can be a little protective of my food—I might growl if another dog tries to eat it—but I do enjoy having other pets in the house to play with. I love affection, and one of my absolute favorite things is having my tummy rubbed. I’m very gentle and smart. I love being by my mom’s side all the time—even when she’s cooking, I follow her like a shadow and rest my head on her lap to let her know when I need her attention. If you’re looking for that missing piece to complete your life, just like I am, let me know—maybe we’d make the perfect companions for each other. Give me a chance; I promise I won’t let you down.     Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $650.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 6, 2026, 10:33 pm

Story
Meet Brewer! Brewer is a lovable Great Pyrenees/Lab mix teenager who traveled all the way from Arkansas to Minnesota in search of his forever family. This goofy boy is still growing into his long legs and doesn’t quite realize that he isn’t a lap dog. Brewer is happiest when he’s close to his people, often attempting to climb into your personal space or gently placing his signature Pyrenees paw on you to request a little extra affection. Brewer has done wonderfully with the resident dogs in his foster home and is always hoping to convince the older dog to join him for a game of chase or wrestling—with varying degrees of success. He would thrive with another playful canine companion who can match his youthful enthusiasm. When he’s outside, Brewer loves zooming around the yard, helping himself to garden raspberries and kale, and chewing on sticks for what he apparently considers equal parts fiber and dental care. Brewer has made fantastic progress with leash walking, even handling a busy Saturday afternoon in Duluth’s Canal Park with confidence. He greeted strangers like lifelong friends, especially if they happened to be carrying treats. At home, Brewer has done well with potty training on a consistent schedule. As with many young male dogs, he’ll need supervision in a new environment to help prevent marking while he settles into his routine. When he’s not exploring the backyard, Brewer can usually be found supervising dinner preparations or relaxing under the table while his foster family engages in a very competitive game of Yahtzee. Brewer happily naps in his kennel while his foster family is at work and sleeps there through the night. He’s generally quiet in his crate, though he may occasionally let out a pitiful little whine if he’s just been evicted from the couch or bed before bedtime. If you’re looking for a goofy, affectionate giant puppy who will keep you smiling, Brewer may be the perfect addition to your family. Submit your application today—Brewer can’t wait to meet you!            Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
