Meet Ace! Our giant, lovable goofball with absolutely no concept of personal space and enough personality to fill an entire house! Ace approaches life with full speed enthusiasm, a wagging tail, and the confidence of a dog who believes every day is the greatest day ever created. He loves people, loves fun, and takes almost nothing seriously… except treats. Treats are very serious business, and Ace would like you to know he is highly motivated to sample every snack you own. This oversized sweetheart is looking for an active home that appreciates big dogs with even bigger personalities. Ace would thrive in a home with a tall, secure fenced yard because when this boy gets the zoomies, he transforms into a galloping moose with places to be. A 4-foot fence is more of a “light suggestion” in Ace’s mind, and he has occasionally decided to conduct his own neighborhood adventures. Ace is house trained, knows how to wait politely to go outside, and has incredible potential to be an amazing companion with structure and consistency. He does best when he has a routine and a safe space, like a crate or secure room, while home alone. He’s met other dogs both at the shelter and in his previous home and generally enjoys canine companionship, especially with dogs closer to his own size. Because Ace is such a large, exuberant boy, he will do best in a home without cats and with older or sturdy children who can handle his thunderous excitement when he’s happy to see you.
