Story
Meet Athena! Athena is a 3-month-old, ~25 lbs Akita puppy that loves to snuggle and being close to her people. Her superpowers include the cutest attentive head tilt, being a fast learner, loving to play with dogs of all ages and sizes, and exploring every part of the world. Athena not only loves to play but she loves to follow her people around to observe. She’s a curious young girl that wants to go on adventures with her family. In terms of your training, Athena is still young and learning. She’s crate trained and sleeps well at night once she settles into her new environment. Some of her favorite things are: a benebone, squeaky balls, and soft stuffed animals. Then loves treats especially anything freeze dried including blueberries and sweet potatoes. If you’re looking for a puppy that’s eager to learn, go on adventures, and snuggle then Athena may be the perfect match for your family. Athena is being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Hi! My name is Chatty Cathy—and yes, I live up to my name 😊 I love being around people and chatting my way into their hearts. I’m very sweet, calm, and easygoing. If there’s a dog bed nearby, you’ll probably find me curled up in it, catching a nap.I’m more relaxed than most huskies and not overly hyper. I thrive on attention and affection, and I’ll happily roll over for a belly rub. I do well with other dogs and with kids. I haven’t been cat-tested yet, but that can be done to see how I do with cats.To adopt one of our animals, please visit our shelter, open Tuesday-Friday from Noon-5pm and Saturday from Noon-4pm. I’m a happy little puppy who loves staying active and playing with other dogs! Once playtime is over, I’m all about curling up in your lap for the best snuggles ever. If you’re looking for a cute, friendly companion, I might be the perfect match for you.I’ll still need some home training, so I’m looking for someone patient who’s willing to work with me and won’t get upset over typical puppy antics. With love, guidance, and consistency, I’ll grow into an amazing companion! To adopt one of our animals, please visit our shelter, open Tuesday-Friday from Noon-5pm and Saturday from Noon-4pm.
