Story
Hello my name is Wasabi and I am on the hunt for my fur-ever home! I am a very sweet lady who knows how to sit and shake! I am very smart and am looking forward to learning other tricks! I would do better in a home with no other doggos, cats, or younger kiddos. I love to be petted and get lots of cuddles! I like to play and go for walks! My favorite toys would have to be squeaky toys and balls! Why not stop by and check me out today! $95.00 Fee includes initial vaccines, worming, microchip with registration, and free vet health exam. Primary Color: Tan Weight: 95 Age: 4yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
Meet Shadow and Ahlika, a bonded pair of female Akitas (born 10/5/2020).  They get along great with each other, but prefer not to hang out with other animals!  Ahlika is housebroken and crate trained.  She does well when introduced to new people and she is friendly with older children.  Ahlika is energetic and will need a fenced yard so she has room to move around and get some exercise.  When she's inside, she tends to be calm and thinks she is a lap dog.  She loves to cuddle and give kisses!  They knows some commands and will enjoy spending time with you to learn more.   The suggested adoption donation for both Ahlika and Shadow is $600. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2021 alone, we were able to provide animal Healthcare costing over $306,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. If needed, we will put you in touch with the owner if you have any questions. If this pet is not spayed or neutered at the time of adoption due to limited vetting availability, a voucher will be given to the adopter for a free spay/neuter procedure at Val Verde Animal Hospital. Spay/neuters completed elsewhere will be reimbursed $80/dog or $55/cat once proof of alteration has been received by Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue. Alterations are required for all Muddy Paws adoptions. The adoption contract states that alters must be done within ONE month of the adoption date or the adopter will be in breach of the contract. Adopters are required to provide proof of alteration to Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue immediately following the procedure. Thank you in advance for your compliance.e. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
