Story
Unlike some breeds that may lean towards being overly needy, Lucy strikes a perfect balance between independence and companionship. She understands when it's time to play and shower her family with affection but also appreciates her moments of solitude, making her an ideal match for those who seek a loving canine companion without the constant demand for attention. Her perfect home will have NO other animals in it, older children who are dog savvy when it comes to understanding the importance of caution around open doors and gates. Her home will have a secure fenced yard, that she can safely play in and savvy owners who will put some serious time into training her. In summary, Lucy, is a smart and sweet canine companion who will brings joy, loyalty, and a perfect balance of independence to her forever home.

Story
Attention all dog lovers!! You have not LIVED until you have experienced a LEVI SNUGGLE. I'm talking full body snuggles here, folks!  This husky mix, 2-3 year old Fur bestie is currently on the hunt for his furever home.      Levi currently resides with his foster mamas, and he wants his future hoomans to know a little about himself!  Levi loves horsing around  with his foster siblings, and agrees that his foster cat siblings are just friends, not food!! He loves a good walk, and both foster mamas agree that his leash skills are good and progress every single day! Putting your mark on every single lamp post is important anyway, don't you think?! Levi is particularly fond of his foster yard, which gives him plenty of time and space to "stop and smell the roses." If you allowed him to, he'd spend a majority of his day just enjoying the good ol sunshine.  When we're not at home, Levi gets to play "stylist assistant " and enjoys going to the shop where he gets to socialize with all sorts of new hooman candidates!!  Moms suggest that I have a seatbelt for the car ride, as he's most certainly a window boy!! He's definitely a lady's man, but needs a liiiittle more time and patience with meeting the guys.   Levi loves a good treat- and sits like a pro....and if there was an award for most gentle treat taker, he'd win the GOLD!! He never talks about himself, but will listen while you talk about YOURSELF-all while keeping up an appearance of being interested in the conversation!!! It's easy to do because this guys offset eyes are the windows to his pawfect soul. As far as being housebroken, he wins a gold star! Levi also prides himself on protecting his mamas while they shower. "Ain't no bad guy gettin ya in there!" Levi states. "I got you."  Levi is looking forward to getting comfortable in his new home, and hopes his big day is in the near future!!    If interested in Levi please fill out an application at www.Buffalounderdogs.com !  ##2001314##

Story
This is a mighty special boy who is NOT special needs despite only having 3 legs.  Oscar is missing his front right leg and it does not slow him down at all.  His foster mom takes him on long walks daily and he loves them. If she gets busy and does not take him, he whines at hurt like his feelings are really hurt. He jumps into the van by himself and he loves to go on rides, really he barks if she loads up another dog and does not take Oscar.  The foster mom tries to give all of the dogs equal time in the love and attention area.  Oscar went riding in a subdivision where the Christmas lights were plentiful and he loved it, he rode and looked at the lights as if he were a real 2-legged little boy. So it is safe to say that Oscar's foster mom spoils him and gives him more attention and love because we feel he deserves it.  Oscar is 4 years old and 60 pounds.  All he knew all his life was being chained up in someone's yard.  Oscar got tired of it and chewed through his cable chain and got loose.  Something horrible happened to him but he made his way back home.  The foster mom lives on the same street so the owners called her over and begged her to help him.  She called me and Roxy's K-9 Rescue took him to the vet where they cleaned him up immediately and assessed the situation.  There was so much damage that they only option was to amputate his leg.  If you would like to see his wound pictures, I can email them to you. Oscar is now a Roxy's K-9 Rescue dog as the owners surrendered him not wanting a tri-pod dog.  But nothing is wrong with him, Oscar has no disabilities or special needs except to need love and a safe, happy home. He gets along with all of the dogs that are in the home, big and small.  He does not bother them and they do not bother him.  He is more focused on hanging out and following his foster mom around.  He is completely healed from his amputation, no medications or special instructions are required for him. Wouldn't you like a warm loving guy who is not destructive and appreciates a good home?  There is another video of him playing with a toy that I can provide. We transport across the United States.  Thank you.   ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         April 28, 2024, 3:53 pm

Story
Freya This pretty lady is a sweet soul. She loves her people. She will definitely show you lots of love and attention. She loves kids and would make a great play partner. She is very dog and cat friendly. Although if your cat is runner or spooked easily, she will chase for a fun activity. Freya can jump high, so she requires a yard with a minimum of a 6 ft fence. She would do well with lots of room to roam and play. This chick is up for any adventure, as long as she gets to spend time with her people, her heart will be happy. She will be fully vetted, microchipped and is available to you via ground transport.
