Story
MEET DIVA!STATS: 1 year old, spayed, Black Akita MixAFFECTION/ENERGY LEVEL: I am the type of pup that is down for ANYTHING! I have great energy and I am always on the move! I am constantly in motion, whether it is playing outside with my dog friends, going on enthusiastic sniff-filled walks, or just looking up at you and smiling. I am always excited for whatever the next adventure is! While I bring the most bubbly energy to the table, I am also super affectionate and will snuggle my way into your heart. I am so ready to be your new best friend!WHAT I LOVE: I LOVE to PLAY! I am an expert at fetch, so you better get your arm stretches in. I am very dog friendly and a total socialite, so I will make sure we are the life of the party at whatever function we attend. My social side is just one of my many incredible attributes, my smile is another - I am always flashing my pearly white grin. When I look at you, you can just feel the love!KIDS: I haven`t been formally tested with kids, but my shelter family believes I would be good with older kids who understand my energy level and respect my space! I love to leap and bound around, so kids that I can`t accidentally knock over would be ideal!OTHER DOGS: I`m SUPER dog-friendly and enjoy the company of other dogs! I go to playgroup here at the shelter! I am also one of the pups the shelter uses to temperament test other dogs, so I have to be on my best behavior!CATS: UnknownHER MATCH: I would be perfect for a family that likes to stay active, but snuggle hard during downtime. Once I get some of my young pup energy out, I am ready to crash for a dog-nap. When I love, I love you with my whole heart – you can just see it in my eyes!SPECIAL NOTE: My shelter family jokes that I am a Heinz 57 blend of dogs! They aren`t quite sure what mix I am, but whatever it is made one absolutely wonderful girl!Complete an online application and get pre-approved to adopt at https://www.cognitoforms.com/YorkCountyAnimalControl/PetAdoptionSurvey. Story
Batman is a sweet, loving boy who truly adores people. He does great with kids and is happiest when he’s by your side getting love and attention. He has a gentle heart and so much affection to give to the right family. Batman struggles with separation anxiety and doesn’t do well when left alone. He has been known to escape kennels and jump fences, so he needs a home where someone is around most of the time to help him feel safe and secure. Because we live near a busy road, his safety has become our biggest concern. Batman would thrive in a home where he can have constant companionship and be part of the family. In the right environment, he will be a loyal, devoted companion with endless love to share. If you think you could be Batman’s person, please reach out. He’s ready to give his whole heart to someone special.

Story
Obi is a well-trained, obedient 7-year-old dog who is very smart and easy to work with. He loves being near his people but isn't really much of a snuggler. He enjoys walks and playtime and has a great, friendly personality. We got Obi from a neighbor and were around him from about 3 weeks old, bringing him into our home at 7 weeks. He has been well socialized and does great with other animals. Obi is intelligent; more in a German Shepherd way than the typical husky personality and while he is very clever, he doesn't get into trouble or try to open doors. He is not a guard dog and has never met a stranger; he's friendly and welcoming to everyone he meets.
