If you're looking for a confident Akita/Cattle dog that likes his walks, Bear may be the one for you! He was adopted by his previous owners as an adult, infested with heartworms and parasites. His new owners did an amazing job of getting him healthy and teaching him the manners he has now. Sadly, his owner passed away this past December and we made it our mission to honor her wishes and find Bear an amazing new home. In the last couple of years, he lived very well with a lab and has been easy to walk around people and other dogs. His former owner had him groomed every 6 weeks and he was a very good boy. He loves car rides, Nylabones and following his nose to his next adventure. Due to this, he will need to be crated if left alone. Luckily, he loves his crate and is fully house trained!! We are asking potential adopters to not have young children and to do a meet with their dog prior to adoption (could be at your place or at Sarge's).
