Kyra is friendly with all but can take a while to warm up. She doesn’t pull while on the leash, is house trained, and doesn’t attempt to destroy anything when left alone. Her foster says she acts like an old lady and would do well on a farm; she’s easygoing, enjoys car rides, likes to following her foster around the farm, but doesn’t play much. Cat, chicken, livestock, and dog friendly! Kyra really wants to find a family that will love her and understand she grumbles (husky talks) a lot but just likes being around her people. She would do great with a family that understands she will come to you when she’s ready for affection, especially head scratches! She was found at an abandoned house, left in a dirty pen with two other dogs, surviving without food or water for some time. For the past 9 months Panda Girl has been sadly waiting patiently for her forever home at a small town shelter, existing in a dark and depressing, tiny concrete cell. Despite her tough start, Panda Girl is a true sweetheart and still has a great attitude and grateful for any attention or moment outside her cell in the play yard. This girl is able to stay out in the play yard a lot because she gets along well with other dogs and adores everyone she meets. Her time in the shelter's play yard shows that she still has a playful spirit and friendly nature. This poor girl needs a break from this mundane existence in a shelter. 9 months is sheer torture and we hope someone will help her get out by fostering or even better, adopting.
