Story
Meet Yukon, a charming seven-year-old male Siberian Husky who is bursting with playful energy, which will help him loose some of that weight! Yukon is the epitome of fun-loving and is always ready for an adventure. Despite his age, he still has the spirit of a puppy and loves to romp around and explore. Whether it's playing fetch or going for a hike, Yukon is up for anything that involves staying active. With his stunning coat and bright eyes, he's sure to turn heads wherever he goes. If you're looking for a companion who can keep up with your lifestyle, Yukon is the perfect match for you! He is fully vetted and house trained and would prefer a home with no cats. If you are interested in adopting Yukon, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet’s age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. ** October 14, 2024, 5:05 pm

Story
Quick facts: Name: Kyra Age: 2 years Breed: Siberan Husky House trained Kyra is a 2 year old Siberian husky ready for her own family! Unlike some other huskies, Kyra is low energy and does not try to break out of fences. Kyra was heartworm positive on intake and has completed treatment! Kyra is friendly with all but can take a while to warm up. She doesn’t pull while on the leash, is house trained, and doesn’t attempt to destroy anything when left alone. Her foster says she acts like an old lady and would do well on a farm; she’s easygoing, enjoys car rides, likes to following her foster around the farm, but doesn’t play much. Cat, chicken, livestock, and dog friendly! Kyra really wants to find a family that will love her and understand she grumbles (husky talks) a lot but just likes being around her people. She would do great with a family that understands she will come to you when she’s ready for affection, especially head scratches! Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Kyra is $365 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Due to our thorough adoption process including home visits, we limit our adoptions to local families in the greater Charlotte area. - If you have any additional questions, email us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible!

Story
Meet Panda Girl: Your New Best Friend!  Name: Panda Girl  Breed: Husky Mix  Age: 2-3 years old Weight: 48 pounds   Let us tell you about Panda Girl's journey which hasn't been easy. She was found at an abandoned house, left in a dirty pen with two other dogs, surviving without food or water for some time. For the past 9 months Panda Girl has been sadly waiting patiently for her forever home at a small town shelter, existing in a dark and depressing, tiny concrete cell. Despite her tough start, Panda Girl is a true sweetheart and still has a great attitude and grateful for any attention or moment outside her cell in the play yard. This girl is able to stay out in the play yard a lot because she gets along well with other dogs and adores everyone she meets. Her time in the shelter's play yard shows that she still has a  playful spirit and friendly nature.  This poor girl needs a break from this mundane existence in a shelter.  9 months is sheer torture and we hope someone will help her get out by fostering or even better, adopting.  Panda Girl deserves a loving family who will give her the care and companionship she craves. Could you be the one to offer her a second chance at happiness? Whether adoption or fostering, Panda Girl is ready to be your loyal and loving companion. Interested in adopting or fostering Panda Girl? Contact Critter Cavalry Animal Rescue today! Let's give this beautiful girl the break and love she needs. Email CCRTennessee@gmail.com to request an adoption application or learn more about fostering. We are a Middle Tennessee-based rescue, but we travel to the Northeast weekly for our mission.
