Story
Athena is a 4-year-old Husky. She was rescued from ACCT on February 1st, severely emaciated at just 25 lbs. Today, she’s transformed into a happy, spunky girl who’s ready to find her forever home! Athena is dog-friendly and does well with older kids (she’s still working on her jumping, so little ones might get knocked over). She enjoys her walks, does well on a leash, and loves exploring the yard. She can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but with a little patience, she warms up and shows her sweet personality. Athena does have a strong prey drive, so a home without cats or small animals like rabbits would be best. Athena will be spayed before she is adopted.

Story
💙 FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT NEEDED 💙 Meet Lily, a beautiful 5–6 year old female Siberian Husky looking for a patient foster or foster-to-adopt home while she begins her next chapter. 🐾 Female Husky 🐾 Approximately 5–6 years old 🐾 Up to date on vaccines 🐾 She is scheduled to be spayed in July 🐾 Other dogs, cats, and children: Unknown Lily is a retired breeding dog, and like many dogs coming from similar situations, she may be shy and need time to adjust to life as a beloved family companion. These dogs are typically dog-friendly and blossom with patience, consistency, and love. She deserves a safe place to decompress, learn what it means to be part of a family, and experience all the comforts of home. Could you be the one to help Lily start her new life? 📍 Foster or Foster-to-Adopt Needed 📩 Message us for more information or complete an application at www.nbrescue.com

Story
Bean is approximately 2 years old and last weighed in at 55 lbs.  He is dog selective but gets along well with all people and kids. Should be monitored around small children. He is high energy and would do best with a family with an active lifestyle. He is an escape artist so a secure fence is preferred.

Story
Theo is a handsome Siberian Husky with a story that started off rough—but he’s ready for a fresh start. He was found tied to a pole next to a crate in New Jersey, and despite efforts to locate his previous owners, no one came forward. Since coming into our care in March, Theo has been thriving. He’s approximately 2–3 years old, weighs around 53 lbs, and is neutered and fully up to date on vaccinations. Theo has been working hard in obedience training and is making great progress. Like a true husky, he loves to play and gets along well with his foster brother—he’s energetic, social, and full of personality. Theo would do best with an active family who understands the husky breed and can continue his training and give him the structure he needs to succeed. If you think Theo might be the perfect addition to your family, please fill out an adoption application on our website: 👉 www.nbrescue.com

Story
Brester has been in foster for 27 months now. His most outstanding features are that he is a very handsome boy with a very short tail. He was in an accident 27 months ago which resulted in a broken pelvis and loss of feeling in his tail which led to the amputation. He is in the 60-65 lb. range. His mobility is not affected by the accident. He is a people friendly boy but dog selective. He may do best as an only child but if someone was looking for a playmate for another Husky it would need to be a slow introduction. A female might be the best bet. An adjective I would use to describe him is "intense". He plays a hard game of 'bitey cheeks' with his (foster) sisters Anna & Juneau. He has learned to co-exist with my 14-year-old Hawkeye, who really doesn't want to be bothered any more. He definitely would not be considered cat friendly. He is very good with my nearly 6-year-old grandson. His ideal family would have some Husky experience and might need to protect Brewster from himself!
