Story
Bean is approximately 11 months old and last weighed in at almost 37 lbs.  We picked him up from the Philly shelter along with Bowie (who may be his brother).   The only history we have is that on 09/21/24 both dogs were found at the same location and brought to the shelter as strays.  They were both a little skinny but have put on some weight and according to the vet, are very healthy. Bean is a very sweet dog and loves people. He likes to cuddle.  He is not food aggressive and seems good around kids. Because he is a very rambunctious puppy, he would need to be monitored around small children. He is very energetic and plays very rough with Bowie; these two are very close. Seems ok with most dogs but shows some aggression toward some dogs during his obedience class. His prey drive is very strong, so having small animals or pets (such as cats) around would not be advised. He is a puppy and likes to dig and chew on anything, which can all be fixed with time and training.  Bean is crate trained and does well in the house, monitored.

Story
Marley is a beautiful purebred Husky girl that is a nice settled 6 year old girl that is 45 pounds and rescued from a totally inhumane living environment for the last 4 years.   This girl needs some patience, love, training to not jump on you as you enter her space to pet her and a first time ever inside home.  She has lived in a neglected backyard environment that has resulted in her having heartworms which are being treated now. She will be fine after the treatment is done.  We are desperately trying to help the family who took and the other dog in to their home to give them fresh water daily (not the black rain water in the kiddie pool), food daily (instead of every 4 days) and a grassy environment that is mowed weekly and no 7 feet tall with weeds.  We are all working hard to get her and the other dog (can be separated) the good and caring homes and people to love them.  Marley deserves a dream come true new place in life.  She is not housebroken at the moment due to the years living outside.  But that can change in a short time with a schedule and patience.  This girl is playful, friendly and good with other dogs and people.  She just needs to learn NOT to jump on them with her joyful greetings.  Help us give Marley a true Cinderella story of rising from the neglect and abandonment she came from and let’s put her in a castle.  We want her to have a good life and all we need is a person with a rescue kind of heart.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Meet Cubby – Your Adventure Buddy and Best Friend! Breed: Husky Mix | Age: 2.5 years | Weight: 50 lbs Cubby is a stunning Husky mix with soulful eyes and a heart of gold. After being rescued from an overcrowded backyard situation, this sweet boy has blossomed in foster care and is now ready to find his forever family.   Cubby has discovered the joys of life—walks, playtime, snuggles, and, most of all, people! He’s affectionate, smart, and always seems to be trying to understand everything around him with those expressive eyes. He’s especially great with children and loves being part of a family.   An energetic and athletic pup, Cubby thrives on adventure. He loves long walks, hiking, backpacking, playing fetch, running beside a bike, and splashing in the water. If you lead an active lifestyle, Cubby might just be your perfect match. And when the day is done? He’s happy to chill on his dog bed, content just being near his people.   Cubby currently lives with two other dogs and absolutely loves playing with them. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and another dog buddy—or as your one-and-only if he gets plenty of exercise and enrichment.   Cubby is not just a dog—he’s a loyal companion, hiking partner, and forever friend who will bring joy, laughter, and love to your life. All he needs is a family who will give him the active, loving home he deserves.    Fostered in Tennessee   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 15, 2025, 6:39 pm

Story
Meet Koda — the sweetest Husky 'teddy bear' you’ll ever meet.   Koda’s story began when he wandered into a family’s yard one day to play with their female Shepherd—and simply never left. Despite every effort to find his owner, it became clear that this handsome boy had been abandoned. From that moment on, Koda’s kind heart and gentle soul began to shine, and we knew he deserved the chance to find a forever home where he’ll never be left behind again.  This stunning Husky is about 2 years old and weighs around 70 pounds and is the perfect mix of playful with a Husky spirit that is big-hearted and affectionate. He’s goofy, “talkative” in true Husky fashion, and full of love. He thinks he’s a lap dog, even though he’s learned good manners and stays off the furniture. His favorite things include snuggles, scratches, and spending time with people and other dogs.   Koda is dog-friendly and especially enjoys the company of other canines—he takes his cues beautifully from confident dogs and would thrive in a home with a friendly companion. He’s also been calm and respectful with cats and has shown no signs of prey drive. While he hasn’t lived with children, his gentle nature suggests he’d do well with respectful kids after a proper introduction.   He’s house-trained, knows basic commands, and has adjusted well to structure and routine. Like many dogs who’ve faced uncertainty, Koda can be anxious when left alone, so he’ll do best with someone who’s home more often or has a plan to provide companionship. When he occasionally stays with kennel staff, they absolutely adore him—his sweet personality and charming “Husky conversations” make him a favorite everywhere he goes.   Koda is fully vetted, vaccinated, and neutered and heartworm negative. He is on prevention as well. He’s also been trained on a Halo GPS virtual fence, which he responds to well. Koda’s ideal home will have another friendly dog, a secure yard or regular outdoor adventures, and a family ready to provide love, structure, and consistency. This big-hearted boy has so much to give—he just needs the right people to give it all back.    Koda is currently in Middle Tennessee and ready to find the forever home he deserves—one filled with companionship, laughter, and plenty of cuddles for this beautiful Husky teddy bear. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143  We can adopt him to Tennessee or can transport northward to cooler climates.   He is a prize that  you deserve to give yourself if you have all the elements that he needs.   Email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 16, 2025, 12:23 am

Story
Pashia – A Once-in-a-Lifetime Dog Looking for Her Person    There are dogs who come and go in our lives... and then there are dogs like Pashia — the kind of soul who doesn’t just enter your world, she changes it.  At 2 years old and 55 pounds, Pashia is a breathtaking blue-eyed Husky with a quiet strength and a heart that speaks volumes once it trusts you. She’s not just looking for a home — she’s looking for her person. Someone who sees beyond the pretty face and into the smart, loyal, sensitive spirit that lies beneath.  This girl has so much love to give, but she doesn’t give it away to just anyone — and that’s what makes it so special. Once Pashia chooses you, it’s for keeps. She will be your shadow on the trails, your snuggle buddy during movie nights, your calm presence on quiet mornings. The bond you build with her won’t be just another pet relationship — it will be deep, soulful, and unforgettable. Pashia is beautifully balanced — playful and silly with her toys (she treasures them and never destroys them), yet calm and observant when the day winds down. She loves sitting by a window or glass door, just watching the world — as if taking it all in with a quiet kind of wisdom. She’s potty trained, crate trained, and sleeps soundly through the night. She walks well on leash and enjoys slow strolls where she can take in the sights, scents, and sounds of nature.  She’s a work of art in motion — elegant and athletic — and would thrive with someone who wants a partner for outdoor adventures. But more than anything, she wants a heart to anchor to.  Because of her past, she takes time to trust, and she’s selective with some dogs — especially those with dominant personalities. She’s done well with older or submissive male dogs and could also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only. She just needs a home that’s calm, structured, and full of love. Someone who understands that earning the affection of a dog like Pashia isn’t instant — but is entirely worth the wait.  Pashia has grown so much and overcome so many quiet battles. Now, she’s ready to settle into a life where she can feel safe, loved, and understood. If you’re someone who doesn’t just want a dog, but wants one to be 'your' dog — the kind of companion who looks into your eyes and just gets you — then Pashia may be the one you've been waiting for. &#226&#156&#168 Give her the fairytale ending she deserves. Email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to meet Pashia. Because once she lets you into her heart… you’ll wonder how you ever lived without her.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 4, 2025, 4:22 pm
