Story
Ronaldo is a 3-year-old Akita mix with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. Sweet, playful, and incredibly smart, Ronaldo is the kind of dog who dives into life with enthusiasm—whether that’s a spirited game of tug-of-war, chasing a ball, splashing around in a kiddie pool, or curling up close to his favorite people afterward (yes, he will happily sit right in your lap). Ronaldo is affectionate and people-oriented, thriving on connection and quality time. He loves learning and is currently working on his basic training with our staff, and knows "Sit" and is working on polite greetings with new people. He enjoys playgroups and has done great meeting people and dogs, especially those who enjoy a more physical, wrestling-and-chasing style of play. Ronaldo regularly goes on Doggy Day Outs and shines in those environments, showing just how loving, fun, and special he is outside the shelter. With the right home—one that appreciates his energy, brains, and affection—Ronaldo will be a deeply loyal, joyful companion. If you’re looking for a smart, playful dog who’s ready to keep learning and loves hard once he’s yours, Ronaldo might just be your perfect match. This dog would greatly benefit from a foster home where they can continue to thrive and blossom. Story
She is a healthy, active, and affectionate dog with a lot of positive traits. She enjoys truck rides, walks, parks, and play sessions, and can play for long periods. She walks well on a leash and is comfortable being handled by strangers. She knows basic obedience commands including sit, down, and kennel, and will sit before exiting her kennel. However, she has ongoing behavioral challenges that have become difficult for us to safely manage despite significant training efforts and working with professional trainers. We have worked with training and management strategies over time, but her behavior has not improved enough to be safely maintained long-term in our current home environment.

Story
Wolfie is a sociable, energetic boy who loves people and enjoys meeting other dogs, though he can be intimidating at first and may need a confident introduction before he settles in. He’s eager to play and he has a playful streak with water hoses that never fails to bring a smile. He weighs 89 pounds and is approximately 3-4 years old.??Wolfie is still learning the leash. He is learning to come when called and sits nicely when prompted. He is a homebody at heart, but he still needs plenty of exercise to burn off his occasional bursts of energy. He also enjoys walks with his humans.??Located in Houston, Texas. Transport to most states available for an additional fee of $300.

Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Ever seen a dog with such a silly name as Toaster? We couldn't possibly give this wobbly fella a serious name, and he's so bouncy with joy it just seemed to ...pop into our heads! Toaster may not move quite like a regular dog because of a street-healed spinal break, but his zest for life and weeble-wobbly ways absolutely stole the hearts of each member of our staff the moment he came in!  Over the time in our care, his balance and coordination have gained strength, and he's even pretty dern good at bringing himself up and down short stair-flights(willfully!) Just now coming into being a true adult age at an estimated 2.5yrs of age, effervescent Toaster may play a tiny bit rough for some folks, but he is learning that while other dogs might enjoy him placing his mouth on them, most humans do not; he's never rough or aggressive with it, but he IS an enthusiastic fella, and sometimes his favorite thing in the world is holding your forearm in his mouth(we don't get it either!)Through sheer serendipity, this tenacious young pup came into our program heartworm negative and without any additional medical concerns - he's just kinda wonky-moving, and it's quite alright with him!  His movements have seemed to be startling to the other dogs in our program, but he does seem to want to spend time with his own kind. He's not yet met our resident cats, and given his herky-jerky movements we feel he'd be safest in the company of older children lest he topple and land on a toddler or the like! He does remarkably well at keeping his kennel tidy, so we've high hopes he'll pick up housetraining with ease! Despite his wobbles, he's also surprisingly mellow on a leash overall, and we coudln't be happier for that! His markings are absolutely stunning, and his zeal for life is quite contagious; for the person willing to overlook(or better yet, embrace!) his unusual gait, he'll make a once-in-a-lifetime companion indeed! *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $225 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Transport is available and can be discussed on an individual basis. Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!

Story
Kane is such a sweet loving dog. He is great with kids. Other animals is unknown. He grew up with 2 Chihuahuas. But was attacked 2 times at a dog park so is iffy around other animals. Needs lots of lovies and attention. Trained to go outside. Is an inside dog. Has never bite anyone before. Can do some tricks. Is due for shots. I am pregnant so its hard to get right now but I will work on it. He will come with food bowls, food container, dog food, toys. I would like a family i can visit him or check on him. But I understand if that's not okay.
