Story
Beetle is a 3-year-old Akita mix with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. Sweet, playful, and incredibly smart, Beetle is the kind of dog who dives into life with enthusiasm—whether that’s a spirited game of tug-of-war, chasing a ball, splashing around in a kiddie pool, or curling up close to his favorite people afterward (yes, he will happily sit right in your lap). Beetle is affectionate and people-oriented, thriving on connection and quality time. He loves learning and is currently working on his basic training with our staff, and knows "Sit" and is working on polite greetings with new people. He enjoys playgroups and has done great meeting people and dogs, especially those who enjoy a more physical, wrestling-and-chasing style of play. Beetle regularly goes on Doggy Day Outs and shines in those environments, showing just how loving, fun, and special he is outside the shelter. With the right home—one that appreciates his energy, brains, and affection—Beetle will be a deeply loyal, joyful companion. If you’re looking for a smart, playful dog who’s ready to keep learning and loves hard once he’s yours, Beetle might just be your perfect match. This dog would greatly benefit from a foster home where they can continue to thrive and blossom. Story
Wolfie is a sociable, energetic boy who loves people and enjoys meeting other dogs, though he can be intimidating at first and may need a confident introduction before he settles in. He’s eager to play and he has a playful streak with water hoses that never fails to bring a smile. He weighs 89 pounds and is approximately 3-4 years old.??Wolfie is still learning the leash. He is learning to come when called and sits nicely when prompted. He is a homebody at heart, but he still needs plenty of exercise to burn off his occasional bursts of energy. He also enjoys walks with his humans.??Located in Houston, Texas. Transport to most states available for an additional fee of $300.

Story
My mother adopted her from the pound. We had no issues with her until she was introduced to small dogs and small farm animals. She is a great dog. But we need to find a better home for her. She can NOT be around small dogs or small animals. My mother needs some assistance to rehome her to a good home.

Story
Hi, I'm Crash! Age: Approx. 1 year Gender: Neutered Male Weight: 51 lbs Breed: Siberian Husky/German Shepherd Mix Favorites: Playing with people, treats Energy level: High Training: Knows command “sit” Other important info about me: I’m a younger guy that’s got a lot of joy and energy just ready to be released into the world! I’m looking for a home that can provide me with daily exercise and a little bit more training, though I’ve already gotten started and am eager to learn more! I appear to be friendly with people of all ages and other dogs, but I haven’t been tested with cats at this time. If you are interested in adopting me, please submit an adoption inquiry through this listing, email mbas@montbelvieu.net, or call us at 281-214-9045!

Story
Dante is a wonderful family pet. He associates well with other pets. He is an inside dog and is very good about going outside to use the restroom. Dante is caught up on all his shots and vaccinations (Recently Neutered). The best part about Dante is that he does not bark unless he needs to go outside or come inside from using the restroom, he does not bark at other dogs or people. His only concern is he is protective of his toys. We do not allow him to have any toy in the form of a ball (tennis ball, volley ball, soccer ball) he believes those things belong to him. Besides that he is wonderful dog. We have a 1 year old daughter, an elderly cat, and a busy work schedule that is unfair for Dante to give him the attention that he deserves. We are sad but we know he will be happier to go to a family who can give him the love and attention he deserves. We have a grooming vacuum, bed, and plenty of food, all free of charge to offer you if you're interested in finding love for our boy Dante.
