Story
This beautiful lady is Kumi, an American Akita, between 6-8 years old. After spending the last four months with foster parents (who immediately fell in love with her) she is a happy, healthy girl with lots of love and energy to spare. She does have a few patches where her coat is still filling in resulting from malnutrition issues. Kumi’s favorite things include being outside (playing, running or just basking in the sun), car rides and rope toys (she is a champ at tug of war). Kumi is a very loving dog. She is a little skeptical of public places and doesn’t want to do much with strangers. Fortunately, you’re only a stranger until you walk into her home and then you are her BEST friend! Kumi knows basic commands and is eager to show them to you . . . if you have a treat. Proper dog introductions are a must for Kumi. She can be a little grumpy with other dogs. She gets along well with dog savvy cats. Sometimes she gets excited and will chase them but has never hurt them. She has not been tested around kids. Kumi’s new family will need to make sure she gets help with leash and obedience training. While Kumi is a very good girl, she can be very stubborn and would prefer to do things her way and not listen to the two-legged members of the pack. She really doesn’t like to be left alone and will break out of kennels, so long hours alone every day may be a problem. She would benefit from a home where someone in the family works part time or works from home. Kumi is a special girl who is willing to be your buddy on walks and hikes, play with you until she tires you out, and cuddle up next to you on the couch in the evening. She will require consistency and some additional training, but trust us, she is more than worth it. Kumi has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm, and has been microchipped. You can visit at the PetSmart in Salt Lake City, (389 W. 1830 S.) the third Saturday of every month from 11 am - 2 pm. Story
Meet Yuka! His family passed away and he found himself alone looking for a home. Our amazing dog trainer and foster Molly with Petes Adventure Pack (in Utah) stepped up to offer her home and some training so he could get a second chance at love. Yuka is currently in SLC Utah but able to travel to Colorado. He is a very well behaved boy that has a good amount of energy and will need an active home but he is also very good at relaxing. He is super confident as well and has handled all these bad situations wonderfully. He would make a good first time husky owner as he’s such an easy going guy and has had some training already **Walks great on leash and is crate trained **Active pup, is already an amazing sled dog and goes with his 6 foster siblings. Six miles is easy peasy for him **Previous owner says he was around kids the age of 10 and was very sweet **He has high prey drive and wants to chase cats so no cats in his home All POSO Dogs come with 2 free dog training sessions and fully vetted

Synonyms for Diva: starlet, leading lady, prima Donna, Keyana. Keyana may not have had the best start in life but this 3 year old Husky mix gal is looking for the best rest of her life. She truly just wants to be included but is definitely still working on her manners. Keyana is spayed and up to date on all vaccines. She is also house and crate trained. Story
This beautiful husky is Calamity, and she has a personality as bright as the moon! She is an active 3 year old and is just nice as can be. When walking outside, she is easy-going, and just sometimes she will get excited by puppies, squirrels, and birds. Her fluffy tail wags with excitement whenever she meets new friends, and her expressive face is sure to make you smile every day. Though she likes meeting other dog friends, she is selective with which ones she chooses to pick as regular playmates. Calamity is house trained and quiet inside the house. When left alone, she waits patiently for her humans to return so she can welcome you home! She is also such a good girl, she is trusted to be left out in her foster home and doesn't get into any trouble. Her favorite thing is being with her people, especially if you want to go out for a run she'd gladly join you. She is still working on building up her confidence, and will sometimes get nervous when seeing big trucks or meeting new people. But all she needs is a little encouragement from her person to get over her initial shyness. Sweet Calamity is ready to shine in her forever home. Could that be yours?Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process.
