She just trembled in the shelter and was terrified. Out of the shelter she's a totally different dog. She learns to trust quickly and will be your best buddy. She adores other dogs and loves to play so must be adopted into a home with atleast one other dog. Super sweet. Has a ball having the zoomies and playing with toys. Story
Solomon went to the vet for his intake exam, and was the PERFECT gentleman!!! He loved the car ride, walked beautifully on-leash, and decided that everyone at the vet's office was his new best friend. Solomon is a healthy, happy, friendly, snuggly, well-mannered guy. And, this distinguished gentleman is still ready to PARTY! Toss a ball and he springs into action -- running to get it and actually bringing it back to you for more!!! Yes -- HE does the fetching, and you get to stand still! Solomon is a joyful, friendly, gentle, well-mannered guy who treats everyone he meets like a long-lost best friend. He also walks beautifully on leash, and will happily follow you to the ends of the earth. Or down the block and around the neighborhood. His favorite activities include being petted, napping in the sun, and being petted while napping in the sun.Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Acquired: 2.8.20 Adopted: 4.70.20 Returned: 7.30.22 Gabby is a young (born 9.14.19) spayed female Akita. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, on flea/heartworm prevention, house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. Gabby came to us with her parents, Kiyoko and Keito, and her two brothers, Gabe and Gordon. They had all been left in the care of a friend of their owner when he fell on hard times. After several months, he told the friend to go ahead and find somewhere for them to go. Gabby was adopted out in 2020, but returned due to a tragedy in the family. She would do well in a home by herself or with the right male, canine friend.

Valerian is an adult (born approx 4.1.17) neutered male Akita. He is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, on flea/heartworm prevention, house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. Valerian was surrenderd to the shelter in Chesapeake, VA when the owner could no longer care for him. He had previously lived outside in a pen and was uncertain and stand off-ish when he first came to us, but he warmed up to a goofy, woo-ing, wiggle butt boy. He is just so sweet! Valerian would be fine in a home with children 12+ due to his high energy level and as an only pet.
