🐾 MEET KIKI – 1-Year-Old Japanese Akita 🐾 Kiki is a beautiful 1-year-old female Japanese Akita looking for a very special home to help her blossom. She is sweet, shy, and gentle, but still learning confidence in new situations. With time, patience, and consistency, Kiki shows her loving and affectionate personality. She is still very much a young dog and will need continued training and socialization to help her thrive. Due to her breed traits, Kiki will require an experienced Akita or large guardian-breed adopter who understands the needs, independence, and loyalty that come with Japanese Akitas. ⚠️ Please note: * Kiki has not yet been cat or dog tested, but testing will be completed soon * She will need continued training and structure * Breed experience is required for adoption consideration The Japanese Akita breed is known for being loyal, intelligent, strong-willed, and deeply devoted to their people. They do best in homes that can provide leadership, patience, and a calm, structured environment. If you are interested in giving Kiki the time and home she deserves, we would love to schedule a meet and greet with her. 📞 Please contact the shelter for more information or to set up an appointment. Let’s find Kiki the experienced, loving home she needs to truly shine. 🖤🐕

https://foha.org/pet/kobalt2026/ Meet Kobalt! 🐾 ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Kobalt is one of those dogs who seems to make friends wherever he goes. Calm, easygoing, and incredibly sweet, he’s the kind of companion who can turn an ordinary walk into the best part of your day. This handsome boy enjoys exploring the world at a relaxed pace. He’s wonderful on leash, takes in all the interesting smells along the way, and remains calm around both people and other dogs. Whether you’re heading out for a neighborhood stroll or simply spending time together in the yard, Kobalt is happy just being by your side. Kobalt also enjoys spending time outside investigating his surroundings. He’ll happily chase after a tennis ball if you toss one, though he hasn’t quite grasped the concept of bringing it back yet. For him, the fun is in the chase! With his gentle demeanor and easygoing personality, Kobalt would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a dog who is equal parts adventure buddy and laid-back best friend. 🐕 HOW AM I WITH DOGS: I’ve been calm and appropriate around other dogs. 🐱 HOW AM I WITH CATS: Unknown — just ask my friends at FOHA to conduct a cat test. 👶 HOW AM I WITH KIDS: Unknown — we recommend slow introductions to help everyone feel comfortable. 🎓 I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS: I’m still getting to know my friends at FOHA and showing them all my wonderful qualities. 🏠 MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: Still learning my routine in my new environment. 💖 THINGS I LIKE: Walks, sniffing adventures, exploring the yard, chasing tennis balls, spending time with people, and enjoying the outdoors. ⚠️ THINGS I DISLIKE: Nothing notable so far — I’m a pretty easygoing guy! Story
Meet Sitka! This puppy cuteness was found running stray in March by a good Samaritan. He had no collar and no microchip. After following all the local laws and looking for an owner to no avail, he was brought to us. He is great with adults and other dogs. Due to some suspected mean people in his past, he will need a home without young children. He is looking for his forever home through our rescue. 💚
