Story
Coco is a sweet girl that we rescued 3 years ago, we took her in from an elderly neighbor who could no longer care for her. She loves people and other dogs, and she loves being active! We love Coco and all of her quirks (she loves to talk and make “husky” noises!) but she has strong husky instincts as well, including some resource guarding of food and stuffed toys. When adults are in the room, she keeps her resources guarding in check, but if left unsupervised she can sometimes snap at another dog or small child who doesn’t respect her space. The reason we are rehoming is because we are expecting a baby in November and want to make sure both Coco and the baby are protected and respected and don’t want to risk an accident. We would like someone with experience with Huskies and/or resource guarding to take her in, preferably in a home without small children. The rehoming fee is just to make sure someone is dedicated to loving and caring for her like we have. She is a good girl!

Story
Ferguson is a sweet, gentle, and playful two‑year‑old Husky with a soft spirit and a heart that warms up quickly to both people and other dogs. He weighs 46 pounds, is vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, and ready to begin the next chapter of her life. He has been raised outdoors, so living inside a home will be a brand‑new experience for him. Because of that, he’ll need patience and time to adjust to things most dogs already know, like potty-training. Being two years old with steady focus, this should not take long with consistency and support. Ferguson is extremely sweet and very loving. He especially loves other dogs including the three other huskies in his family. He is good around kids. He rides calmly in the car, is cooperative at the vet, and enjoys meeting new people. He has not been cat tested but can be if you'd like. This boy has so much love to give and is ready for someone who can help him learn what indoor life is all about—soft beds, cozy floors, and the comfort of being part of a family. Ferguson is located in Lebanon, TN, but can be transported to other locations. A transport fee may apply if volunteer transport is not available.

Story
Scarlet is a sweet, gentle, and playful six‑year‑old Husky with a soft spirit and a heart that warms up quickly to both people and other dogs. She weighs 44 pounds, is vaccinated, spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped, and ready to begin the next chapter of her life. She has been raised outdoors her entire life, so living inside a home will be a brand‑new experience for her. Because of that, she’ll need patience and time to adjust to things most dogs already know—like walking on hard floors. Right now, she tends to lie down when she’s unsure of the surface, but with encouragement, she showed improvement within minutes. Her current owners say she will let you know when she needs to go outside for potty breaks, so with a little consistency, she has great potential to settle into a home routine. Scarlet is extremely sweet and very loving. She is great around kids as well. She rides beautifully in the car, is cooperative at the vet, and enjoys meeting new people. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs. There are four huskies available for adoption from Solovino's family. As for cats, she doesn’t seem particularly interested in them. When a cat hissed and swatted at her, she gave a small growl out of surprise but quickly calmed down and went right back to ignoring the cat. This girl has so much love to give and is ready for someone who can help her learn what indoor life is all about—soft beds, cozy floors, and the comfort of being part of a family. Scarlet is located in Lebanon, TN, but she can be transported to other locations. A transport fee may apply if volunteer transport is not available.

Story
Hi, I’m Leia! I’m a 10-month-old medium mix pup (with a touch of husky) weighing 47 pounds, and I’m ready to bring joy, energy, and plenty of laughs into your life. I’m spayed, vaccinated, crate trained, leash trained, and house trained. I’m friendly, submissive, and love meeting new people—I’ll happily greet everyone with my tail wagging. I’m a high-energy pup who thrives on playtime and adventure. Tug-of-war with my rope toy, chasing squeaky balls, kicking around my soccer ball, or splashing in sprinklers and the water hose—those are my favorite ways to spend the day. If I want you to join in, I’ll poke you with a toy until you get the hint! I’m a good eater, I love treats, and I especially enjoy having body contact with my people while I chew on my toys. I’m sweet and submissive, but I’ve got a little sass too—I’ll “talk back” when corrected, which makes people laugh. On walks, I love to stop, sit, and observe the world around me. People think I was trained to do this, but it’s just my natural curiosity. I’d do best in an active family with a big yard where I can run and run. Because I can be a little mouthy, I’d be happiest with older kids who understand how to interact with dogs. I get along well with other dogs, and while I haven’t been tested with cats yet, I’m open to meeting them. When I was very young, I broke my leg. It healed a little crooked, so I walk with a slight limp—but it doesn’t slow me down one bit. I can keep up with the best of them! I sleep soundly in my crate all night, travel well once I’m in the car (though I might resist getting in at first), and I tolerate baths like a champ. I’m currently in Fayetteville, NC, but I can be transported out of state for the right home (transport fees apply). If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining companion who will keep you smiling every day, I’m your girl.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Jacoby!  Jacoby is the kind of dog who makes an instant best friend. He is very, very sweet, loyal, kind, and incredibly smart, with the perfect balance of playful energy and a calm, chill demeanor. Most of all, Jacoby loves, loves, LOVES people! He thrives on human companionship and simply wants to be wherever his person is. Jacoby is a clever boy who loves having a job and being involved in whatever is happening around him. One of his favorite things at the shelter is helping the volunteers prepare breakfast and evening meals for the other dogs. He happily stays close by, watching everything that's going on and making sure his human friends have a little extra help! He is the type of dog who wants to participate, be useful, and feel like part of the family. He is also an amazing walking buddy! Jacoby walks beautifully on a leash and loves getting outside for walks, adventures, and exploring the world with his favorite person. He would be a wonderful match for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and wants a four-legged partner to share adventures with. But don't let his love of adventure fool you - Jacoby is equally happy to settle in beside you for a cozy evening on the couch. Walks and adventures one minute, Netflix and snuggles the next! Jacoby would do best as the only dog in the home, as he does not get along with many dogs. For a single person, couple, or small family looking for a loyal, loving companion, Jacoby could be the perfect match. More than anything, Jacoby wants his person - someone he can love, follow around, help, adventure with, and eventually curl up beside at the end of the day. He has so much love and loyalty to give and would make an incredibly special companion. If you're looking for a smart, devoted, people-loving dog who will be your best friend, adventure buddy, helper, and couch companion, Jacoby may be your guy!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All PAWS cats and dogs are current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. Age permitting, dogs/puppies are tested for heartworm disease. Cats/kittens are tested (and are negative) for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis. All are microchipped (for their safety and the adopter's peace of mind) as part of the adoption fee.  Learn more about our Adoption Information here and fill out an application here.   September 15, 2026, 1:26 pm
