Story
It makes me so sad to write this, but we are looking to re-home our sweet dog Lucy. We are moving and unfortunately are not able to bring her with us. We adopted Lucy during Covid, and she has been such a wonderful family dog ever since. She is incredibly loving, totally safe with kids, loves walks, being around people, scratches, and sneaking treats under the table at dinnertime. She doesn’t get on furniture and is perfectly content laying on a blanket at your feet just happy to be near her people. Lucy does have separation anxiety and has done some significant chewing in our home over the years. She has been on and off anxiety medication, though she generally seems calmer without it. She really loves being outdoors as much as possible, she is calmest and happiest there. Our dream would be to find her a home with a fenced yard — or even some land — where she can roam safely during the day, get lots of attention, and be surrounded by love. Thank you!

Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! NOT!! I am a snuggle bug looking for tummy scratches....I willl MELT for one!! Here is what one of our amazing fosters have to say about Dakota...."Super freaking sweet, loves loves belly rubs, is very strong when you walk him but listens well. VERY treat motivated and knows sit down paw and i just taught him roll over yesterday but its a work in progress 😝. Super playful, he will pounce around you and then roll over for belly rubs and absolutely melts for the belly rubs and kisses" I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Now, before you go all "Lion King" on me, just know that I will be your bestest buddy forever!! I am two VERY loyal breeds and once I know you are my family, you will have my unending love :) Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Xavier from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 5 month old  male Akita - Jindo mix.  I weigh approximately 14 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly.  I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup.  My adoption fee of $1,295 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.   A GPS tracker or Apple Air Tag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an Air Tag from us   We cannot guarantee breed or age. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Say hello to Bosco! He is a ~4 yo, 60lb, Border Collie/Akita mix. (Our best guess to his breeds, but he could have other breeds as well!) Bosco came to us from CA, in search of his forever family. While we are still getting to know Bosco, so far, he has been is a loving and sweet boy. He has been friendly to all people he meets, and enjoys affection! He is smart and loves treats, which makes training fun and engaging. Overall, he is a happy boy that will enjoy a family that is active with him, spoils him with love, and can continue basic training to help him grow into the best dog he can be! Bosco is active and loves going for walks and being outdoors, he would make a great adventure companion! We are still getting to know Bosco’s behavior with other dogs. He has done well with some dogs (usually calmer females), but some high energy/dominant males can make him a little nervous. He will do great in a home that can continue to help him decompress, as the kennel environment can greatly affect stress and how dogs interact with other dogs. Bosco can be an escape artist, and should have a secure yard in his forever home, and while getting to know him, should not be left outdoors alone. He just wants to be with his people! Who can blame him? Bosco is UTD on shots, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Meet sweet Juni! Juni had a litter of puppies in April '23 and was a wonderful mama. Her pups are grown, she's been spayed, and she's ready to find her forever home! Juni comes from a bit of a rough start and requires a supportive home that will nurture her. Once she trusts you, she is the most loving, sweet dog you'll ever meet. She is full of husky hugs and kisses, and loves to play! Juni is particular about the dogs she gets along with, so a meet and greet between her and any dogs in an adoptive home would be necessary. She needs a home without cats or other types of animals, and a securely fenced yard. Meet Sally! She was one of four puppies that came to WAG in 2023 from a hoarding situation. Prior to being at WAG, we suspect she had never been outdoors before, but in her time here, she is learning to trust in people.  Sally is a smart but shy girl that would love to continue her training with you. She has been working on basic commands as well as a few additional tricks. She would do well in a home with children over the age of 8, time to spend with her, and perhaps another dog that could act as a good role model. Meet Skippy! Skippy arrived at WAG after being dumped in a crate outside our gate in an act of desperation. He was terrified, but after being given time to adjust, he is able to show us his true personality. Skippy is a husky/boxer mix and was born in December 2021. He has done well with some similarly sized dogs at WAG after proper introductions, but would not do well in a home with cats (due to a husky's high prey drive), or small children (due to his large size and enthusiastic playing style). He has previously lived with children, so may be okay with older kids in the home. Skippy does take a little time to get used to new people. He would not be a good dog to take to a dog park. Skippy does require a fenced yard to keep him from wandering. He would do best as part of an active family that can help him continue to work on his training and socialization.
