Story
It makes me so sad to write this, but we are looking to re-home our sweet dog Lucy. We are moving and unfortunately are not able to bring her with us. We adopted Lucy during Covid, and she has been such a wonderful family dog ever since. She is incredibly loving, totally safe with kids, loves walks, being around people, scratches, and sneaking treats under the table at dinnertime. She doesn’t get on furniture and is perfectly content laying on a blanket at your feet just happy to be near her people. Lucy does have separation anxiety and has done some significant chewing in our home over the years. She has been on and off anxiety medication, though she generally seems calmer without it. She really loves being outdoors as much as possible, she is calmest and happiest there. Our dream would be to find her a home with a fenced yard — or even some land — where she can roam safely during the day, get lots of attention, and be surrounded by love. Thank you!

Story
Meet Flip Flop 🐾 Flip Flop is a sweet, smart, snuggly Akita-mix puppy who's been in foster with another dog he adores. He's confident and people-loving, already picking up commands, and happiest curled up near his person after a good play session. A few honest things, because we want him in a home that lasts: He's a puppy now, but as an Akita mix he's likely to grow into a large, strong, independent dog. He'll thrive with someone ready to invest in training, socialization, and structure while he's young. He's been almost never alone in foster, so he hasn't built up alone-time tolerance yet - his person will want to teach him to be comfortable on his own, gently and gradually. He's not only done great with another dog, but really loves and thrives with her companionship. He has also proven to be gentle meeting a baby and a toddler. Flip Flop will be an extraordinary companion for someone who understands what a large, loyal, guardian-type dog needs, and who's choosing him for who he'll become, not just how cute he is today.

Story
Diesel is a great dog and I wish that we could keep him. He’s a loyal companion who loves to be with his family. We have enjoyed many trips with Diesel and he has protected us from harm in the past. He’s an amazing guard dog and is very loving to the people that he cares about. We have unfortunately gotten too busy to properly care for him. Diesel needs to be walked twice a day to be happy. He’s not happy to stay in a back yard. He has been suffering from an itchy back side which we haven’t been able to figure out. He does not have fleas. Before his skin problem he was very good with children. With his backside being irritated, he does bark at them when they get too close to his backside but he has never hurt any one. Diesel is unpredictable with other dogs and has several food allergies. I will provide an allergy list to the new owner. Diesel is a fantastic dog for people who have the time to spend with him and for people with older children. We are very sad to see him go.

Story
Hi… I’m Duri 🤍 Before I met kind people, I spent a long time on my own… without care, without warmth. I just endured each day the best I could. But things have changed now. I’ve been given a chance to start over— and I’m waiting for a family to share that new beginning with. Maybe… that could be you. People say I look strong and handsome. My thick fur, my clear eyes… sometimes I remind them of a brown husky. But what I really want you to see isn’t just how I look— It’s who I am. I like people. I really do. I’ll come up to you first, gently, hoping to connect. I enjoy being close, sharing quiet moments, feeling like I belong. I also get along well with other dogs. Being around friends feels natural to me, and I’m comfortable sharing space and energy with them. Inside me, I carry something special— the calm loyalty of an Akita, and the intelligence and quick learning of a Jindo. That means when I bond with you… it won’t be shallow. It will be deep. Steady. Unbreakable. But I’m still learning. Living in a home is new to me. Things like potty training, daily routines, and how to behave indoors—these are things you’ll need to teach me, step by step. Because I’m a strong and active dog, I’ll also need guidance on walks and basic manners. I want to do well—I just need someone to show me how. In the beginning, I might seem a little unsure. A new place, a new life… it can feel overwhelming. But if you stay patient, consistent, and kind with me, I will find my balance. I’m not a difficult dog— but I am a dog who needs understanding. Someone who won’t just “have” me, but will truly live with me. Teach me. Connect with me. If you can do that… I promise you something rare. A bond built on trust. A loyalty that doesn’t fade. A companion who stands by you, no matter what. I’ve already come so far from where I started. Now I just need a place to finally belong. No more loneliness. Just warmth… and you. Will you be my forever family? 🤍
