Buster is a wonderful puppy, but not the right fit for our family. We have an older dog, smaller, that gets a long very well with Buster, is having a hard time with a large energetic puppy. Buster currently attends puppy classes and is doing wonderfully, so he does get along with other dogs. When we adopted Buster, we were told he would be around 30-50 lbs. After a vet visit and having him for a month, we have learned that he will be closer to 80 pounds. We do not have the space for a large dog. He is the most adorable and friendly puppy. He is completely crate trained, still needs some work with potty training. This is not an easy decision for our family, we are incredibly sad to even have to put up this advertisement. But we know he could be happier in another home.

His previous home said he was an affectionate guy who loved being with his people, and we couldn`t agree more. Kuma loves carrying around his stuffed toys, getting lots of pets, and going outside for long walks. He has quickly stolen the hearts of many staff and volunteers alike and we can`t wait to see him find the new best friend he so deserves. Kuma is looking for a home with adopters experienced with Akitas or similar breeds. He would like to be the only dog in the home and would do best in a home with children 10 and older. Meet Rowan! 🐾 (currently in foster care) Rowan is a 2-year-old, 65 lb Akita with a heart as big as his paws. This sweet boy just wants to be close to his people—snuggled up at your side, soaking in all the love he can get. He’s perfectly content relaxing in the yard and doesn’t require a lot of activity to stay happy, though he does enjoy adventure walks, squeaky toys, belly rubs, and anything food-related! Rowan is eager to please and easy to train, making him a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates his loyal and affectionate nature. Like most Akitas, he’s a natural guardian—deeply devoted and protective once he bonds with his people. Because of this, Rowan would do best in a home without small children, as young kids seem to make him nervous and he has barked at some while out walking. Rowan has done well with other dogs in our care, and for the most part is fairly aloof and prefers his people. He would be fine as an only dog, or well suited with another calm dog in the home, ideally female. Rowan has a prey drive and will need a home without cats. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who offers both love and protection, Rowan is truly one of a kind. ❤️ Rowan is UTD on shots, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
