Hello, I'm Smoke! I'm a 2yr old male Akita and am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, neutered, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Fluffy, affectionate, and cuddly. Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: Have you ever wanted to befriend a bear? Maybe cuddle with one, and pet those fuzzy, little ears? Adopting Smoke will likely be the closest you can get to experiencing that dream, and unlike a bear, he'll love you back! He's a big ol' life-sized teddy bear, and would LOVE to meet you. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 7/10 Housetraining Status: I'm quite a clean guy, but may need some patience when adjusting to a new routine. I should do well in a home: With kids and dogs of all ages, given proper introductions. My friends are unsure of how I would do with cats. My favorite activities are: Getting some thorough scratches beneath my thick and luscious coat! True to my breed, I also feel at home in the snow! I'm loving this chilly Wisconsin weather. Things I need work on are: Jumping up on people (I'm just trying to show them how tall I am, I swear!) I'm also curious about everything around me, and pull on leash when I see something I want to investigate. Hello, I'm Thor! I am a 2-year-old male husky. I am current on my vaccines, and soon to be heartworm tested, neutered, and microchipped. I am a foster-to-adopt candidate until all of my medical regiments are completed. 3 words that describe me: Shy, Smart, Handsome Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I'm nervous meeting new people, although I seem to prefer women and warm up to them faster. I'm not really food or toy motivated, but I LOVE being with other dogs! I came from the same home as Ryker who has helped me come out of my shell a little bit. My friends at CRHS think I'd do even better in foster, especially with another dog friend to show me the ropes! Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 8/10 Housetraining Status: I am very good at keeping my kennel clean, although it may take me some time to adjust to a new potty routine. I should do well in a home: Due to my reliance on other dogs for comfort, I am required to go into a home with another dog. Any children in my potential home will need to be 10 years or older due to my shy nature. My friends at the shelter are unsure how I'd do with cats. My favorite activities are: Running around outside with Ryker, lounging in a comfy spot Things I need work on are: Building confidence and basic commands.
