Story
Hi there, I'm Ronyn! I'm a 1-year-old male husky. I am current on my vaccines, and soon to be heartworm tested, neutered, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Energetic, Outgoing, Goofy Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I'm a big fluffy boy with lots of love to give and even more energy! I love being active, whether it's exploring the yard or going for walks. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 8/10 Housetraining Status: I have been good at keeping my kennel clean, however it may take me some time to adjust to the schedule in my new home. I should do well in a home: I should do well with children of all ages and other dogs given proper introductions and supervision. My friends at CRHS are unsure how I'd do with cats. My favorite activities are: Being an active and silly boy Things I need work on are: Basic commands and walking on leash (I pull!) Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: N/A Daycare Status: N/A My adoption fee is: $300 Training Requirement if applicable: N/A *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Hi, I'm Cola and I'm a 2-year-old female husky mix. I am current on my vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. I am currently heartworm positive, so I am a foster-to-adopt candidate while that is being treated. Heartworm treatment can take around 6 months to complete. CRHS can provide any supplies needed while in foster. 3 words that describe me: Adventurous, Curious, Energetic Things my foster said about me: “Cola is a sweet girl. She might be a little shy at first, but once she gets to know you she's the sweetest and goofiest girl who loves being with her people. She enjoys pets and will eventually cuddle. One of her favorite activities is looking and watching outside. She can spend all day just watching what's happening. Cola loves going for car rides and walks!” Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 7/10 Housetraining Status: I am working on it! A consistent schedule and lots of praise will help me learn! I should do well in a home: I should do well with children of all ages given proper supervision. I should do well with other dogs given proper introductions and time to adjust. My friends at CRHS are unsure how I'd do with cats. My favorite activities are: Exploring outside and going on lots of adventures Things I need work on are: Basic Commands and Housetraining Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: N/A Daycare Status: N/A My adoption fee is: $300 Training Requirement if applicable: N/A *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Please apply for me at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HFAH/Dog (403644-DS) Due to the amount of no shows we are now requiring a $50 deposit. If you adopt this will come off your adoption fee. If you meet and it’s not a good fit you will be refunded. If you cancel or no show it’s non refundable. **Meet and greets for approved applicants must happen within 3 days or the closest weekend (for long travelers). It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Jade is a fairly typical Husky mix, so she is a bit vocal which I assume will increase as she becomes more comfortable. I was told she’s an escape artist but she hasn’t tried to escape here, she always has access to a doggy door but spends a lot of time inside the home with us. She’s currently in a home with 6 other dogs from Chihuahua to Great Pyrenees and 5 cats without having an issue with any of them. She hasn’t had any accidents in the house. All around I think she’s a great dog and I enjoy having her around so I know someone else will too. S

Story
Meet Atlas! Atlas is 3 years old and thought to be a possible Shepherd/Husky/Collie type mix. We cannot know for sure without a DNA test, but he is obviously 100% handsome!Atlas was surrendered after a welfare investigation led us to a home with too many animals for his person to be able to care for. Unfortunately, Atlas lived a bit of a sheltered life, never having left the confinement of his home & yard, so coming to our shelter was a bit of a shock to him, and we're giving him lots of time to settle. Dogs like Atlas who were severely under-socialized may simply need an owner who is understanding and patient, and won't try to rush them into situations that they're unsure of. His confidence is lower right now, but every day it improves and we know he'll blossom into a happy and secure doggo with the right family!Atlas is a very sensitive boy who is affectionate and cuddly. He should do well with older/respectful kids & other animals as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised, and personalities with other pets are not overly unbalanced. He is the type of boy who would rather retreat when something scares him, so we don't foresee him being a confrontational dog. He's vocal and will whine and moan if something is concerning him - he's just a big baby! (he even had to be carried into the vet clinic for his appointment, which our vet was happy to assist with) ;)Atlas is playful and rambunctious when he feels comfortable, so we think he'll make a fun outdoor activity companion for anyone who wants a dog who can go walking, hiking, jogging and adventuring with! He's very smart and would benefit from continued training, which should also help him gain confidence! If you are a patient, loving and involved person who is looking to give a 2nd chance at life to a boy like Atlas, we'd love to meet you. We are doing all meet n' greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY after an adoption application has been generally approved:https://monroecountydogshelter.com/apply-adopt.htmlAtlas is now neutered & fully vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
