Meet Aleyna!Aleyna is an 8-year-old, (we think) Pomsky with ALL the fluff! She`s stocky, not quite as tall as a Husky and definitely not as short as a Pomeranian, she`s somewhere perfectly in between.At 8 years old, Aleyna has decided she`s earned a quieter lifestyle. She would do best in a home without small children where she can relax, enjoy her people, and live life at her own pace.Aleyna gets along well with other dogs and would be happy to have a canine friend, but she`d probably prefer one who isn`t bouncing off the walls all day. That being said, she`s been pretty great at teaching some of our younger pups at ACC a thing or two about manners!She`s mature, sweet, fluffy, and past all that crazy puppy nonsense. Aleyna isn`t looking for a wild new adventure she`s looking for a comfortable home, and a family to love.

Meet Banjo, a 2–3 year old terrier mix weighing in at 35 pounds. He looks like a cross of the Target bullseye dog with a little bit of husky maybe and a little bit more of ???. Everyone knows that mutts are definitely the best, and Banjo lives up to that. Banjo is very new to Rover Rescue and I don't have any information on what landed him in a shelter. It's evident that this boy belonged to someone and was loved. He is housebroken, crate trained and walks great on a leash. He loves playing with the squeaky toys in the house and also loves people food! The small resident senior beagle is not a fan of him and is letting him know to back off, and he's been doing so. He began in a foster home with two larger males, and that wasn't a great fit for him. We suspect it is because he was recently neutered and still feels the need to be the top male in the pack. When I went to pick him up, Banjo was in a fenced in yard with a medium-size female, (Furby, who is also on this site), and they were having a great time. I think a small to medium-size female who loves to run and play would be a great match for him. A fenced yard is not necessary since he's so good on a leash, but he'd love one to run around in. In the short time I've had him, I have no doubt that Banjo would be a wonderful companion for someone. Probably better in a home with older kids as he's still a little mouthy. Banjo is not a barker; I haven't even heard him bark yet. He is very vocal with the noises he makes, which is why I'm thinking there might be a little husky in him. Meet Aries, he's a handsome Shepherd/Husky mix. He's about 2 years old. When Aries came to Rover Rescue he was found to have a heart defect that will require medication for the rest of his life. Rover Rescue will pay for this medicine for whoever adopts him. Aries true to his breeds is active, lives to run and may even howl at times. I believe he has herding tendencies as he loves to nudge everything with his nose and chase feet. He loves people and can be very affectionate, he loves to be close to his favorite people. He loves toys and will chase a ball for as long as someone can continue throwing. Aries is currently going thru basic obedience class and doing well but he still likes to jump on us, that is something we're strongly working on. He is not destructive in the house and is housetrained, but he can get bored if alone long in the yard and will dig. He loves long walks and doing much better on pulling. Aries will do best in a adult home who can give him lots of play time. Also because of his herding tendencies other dogs get annoyed with him so he will do best as only dog to keep peace.
