Story
We adopted Mona after having a baby and she was about 3 months old at the time. She is now 10 months old. She ended up not being a dog that we can keep up with! She would do best in a home without young children atleast until better trained. Needs a couple or individual with the time, energy, space and patience that she requires. Must have experience with puppies and young active dogs. She completed 6 weeks of training and periodic training at home but we just don't have the time and space for her to thrive in. She is vocal and understands some commands like sit, leave it..but needs more of behavior training. She is potty trained and crate trained. No physical or health related issues. ..

Story
Hi there, my name is Maggie, and I am 7 years old. I'm quite the Beauty. Have you seen my striking blue eyes? My Owner brought me to the shelter because they couldn't take care of me. Treasured Animal Rescue was looking for fosters one day and saw me. I was sitting so calmly in my kennel - just waiting. That's what I'm doing now in my foster - just waiting. I'm a new girl to this foster home stuff but I trust my foster family to making sure I have a family that is going to take care of me. I have other foster dogs & cats here and we get along. Even though my breeding is Husky - so far I'm ok with the cats. I am interested in them and like to sniff them. Once, a kitty swatted me. I thought they wanted to play but my foster Mom corrected me. I take correction very well. Well, I'm no longer a puppy so I'm past that crazy stage. Right now, I just want to be with the Humans, to be petted and if I get an occasional walk I am one Happy Camper. I'm on the small side so when I go walking I don't pull. Maybe you would want a walking buddy? We can take walks together. People will see how gorgeous I am and you'll be so happy that you picked me. Ready to pick me?!? If so, please complete an adoption application and our journey begins. Thanks! Maggie Maggieis located in our foster home in Aurora. To meet this Beauty, please complete an adoption application at: https://treasuredanimalrescueinc.org/application-dog-adoption/ Sorry, Treasured Animal Rescue does not adopt out of the State of Illinois Thank you for choosing to adopt! Special Needs: NA- just gentle, positive reinforcement training, like all shelter dogs Radley and his sibling, Chilli, were dumped on a back country road. Roaming from place to place and having to fend for themselves until they ended up in the yard of our Intake Coordinator. They were brought into our shelter to try and find them a home. Hemi is heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for her new home! This furbaby is located at Animal Harbor in southern middle TN. You can apply at www.animalharbor.org. Story
Hi, I'm Bama, and I need a new forever family because my human dad has cancer. He's on a feeding tube, so I can't jump in his lap and cuddle anymore. Now I have to stay in the backyard. I'm a good-looking five-year-old shepherd-husky mix who weighs a svelte 40 lbs. I like other dogs and my two-year-old human brother. I haven't met any cats yet. Yes, I'm housebroken. My favorite activity is playing fetch. I don't bark much and I like car rides. I'm spayed, heartworm negative, on monthly heartworm prevention, and up-to-date on my shots. I' a homebody -- if a delivery man lets me out of the gate, I come right back. Please open your heart and home to me -- I'm a pretty perfect dog, if I do say so myself. If you would like to add this pretty girl to your forever family, please email omlc7@hotmail.com or dogs4mylife@gmail.com. If you do not see a response, check your spam folder.

Story
Baby...Babishka!!! Babishka came into the rescue while she was still in the womb of her mama, Mama-ishka! A good samaritan reached out to us to help Mama. She was a regular stray in the neighborhood especially after her owners up and left her behind. They moved and didn't bother to take her with them. Babishka is the runt of the litter. She is adorable, sweet, and loves to give kisses. She is at times quiet within the five puppies in her litter. She will sit back and watch everything around her. She is a smart girl! Babishka has taken to learning her puppy lessons from her mama very well. Mama-ishka has taught the kids that you don't pee/poo in your bed area nor near your food. Babishka is being kennel trained. She falls asleep by 10pm and wakes up bright and happy at 7:30am. She is also being potty trained. She will wake up and quickly make her way to the backyard door. She will even wake up from her naps and cry out to let us know she has to pee. She is a FAST learner! But, considering her very young age she will need continued training to help her be the best pup that she can be. She's at the perfect age to introduce into any home! This little girl is also a HUGE LOVE BUG!!! She does love to be petted, held, cuddled, etc. She will happily look at you with her big brown eyes and give you a big wet kiss! Her gaze will melt your heart!!! Babishka is ready to learn, love, and live with her family. Are you ready to have a fun and happy pup as a member of your family? All of Babishka's vetting has been done by my personal dogs' vet. The following is a list of what has been done for her... Spayed All 4 - DA2PP shots (Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2 (Hepatitis), Parvo, and Parainfluenza) Bordatella shot Rabies shot Dewormed Tested, Treated (if needed), and retested for giardia and coccidia Iverhart heartworm preventative Simparica fleas and ticks preventative Chipped There are two categories of vaccines: “core” vaccines that are recommended for all pets, and “non-core vaccines” which may be recommended by your vet based on lifestyle and exposure risk. The core vaccine for dogs is the Rabies vaccine, which is required by law. The second core vaccine for dogs is often referred to as the DA2PP or DHPP vaccine. This stands for “Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2 (Hepatitis), Parvo, and Parainfluenza”, meaning that this vaccine protects against FOUR different diseases. It is especially important for puppies to begin a series of DA2PP vaccines at six to eight weeks of age, as natural immunity obtained from the mother decreases and puppies become very susceptible to potentially life-threatening diseases such as Canine Parvovirus (Parvo). Parvo is transmitted through feces and can remain in the environment for at least one month, and up to a year if the conditions are right. This means that puppies do not need to be directly exposed to another dog that has Parvo in order to contract the disease, and caution is advised when choosing where and how to socialize and exercise your pup. We recommend avoiding exposure to unknown dogs or public places until your puppy has finished their vaccine series. BUT, all A.M.O.R. puppies (1 year old and less) have all FOUR shots. They are safe to join you and your family on your outdoor adventures and you can rest at ease. Non-core vaccines for dogs include Bordetella, Influenza, Leptospirosis and Lyme. The Bordetella (aka: Kennel Cough) help to prevent highly-contagious respiratory diseases, and are essential for dogs that may be exposed to other dogs, especially in group settings such as dog parks, daycare, or boarding facilities. All A.M.O.R. dogs and puppies are given a Bordatella vaccine. Bordatella boosters are given every 6 months. https://www.thedrakecenter.com/services/dogs/parasites/deworming-dogs The above link is to provide you information regarding why deworming is so important for all dogs of all ages (and for their families). All A.M.O.R.s are dewormed upon entering the rescue and then again 5 days before their health certificate visit (when they have been adopted and ready to travel). This dewormer is issued per our vet. And all pets are tested, treated (if needed), and retested for coccidia and giardia. A.M.O.R. provides you with this information so that you can be aware of the work and love that is given to each pet. Each puppy has visited the vet AT LEAST 5 times during their stay with us. They have seen the vet 4 times for their shots and will see the vet 1-2 more times prior to transport in order to obtain a health certificate for travel. Adult dogs have seen the vet AT LEAST 3 times. Two visits for their shots and 1-2 visits prior to transport in order to obtain a health certificate. Are you ready to have a lifetime of fun with Babishka??? All animals receive a health certificate (stating that a licensed veterinarian saw the pet and deemed it healthy for travel, but is not a promise of perfect health). Please email for an A.M.O.R. application in order to be considered. Please note: this pet is located out of state.
