Story
Meet my beautiful, majestic duo: an 8-year-old Alaskan Malamute and a 7-year-old Chow Chow. They have spent their entire lives side-by-side and must be adopted together into a loving home. Both dogs are past the chaotic puppy phases, have no current medical issues or required medications, and are incredibly loyal companions. Because they are deeply devoted to each other, they are fearful of other animals and need to be the only pets in the household. They prefer a peaceful environment, so an adult-only home or a family with older, respectful teenagers would be the perfect fit. If you love independent, loyal, large breeds and have room in your heart for a double dose of love, this pair is ready to complete your home.

Story
Siberian Huskies are sled dogs bred for endurance, developed to work in packs to pull loads over vast frozen expanses. They’re known to be energetic, activity-oriented and dignified. While Tucson huskies won’t be pulling loads over ice anytime soon, they are popular pups and can make very nice home companions. Our resident husky, Buccaneer, is looking to find his family and furever home, stat! The shelter is a stressful place for any dog, and for a dog whose genes say, “Run, play, move your body!” it can feel pretty unbearable. Buccaneer has had a difficult time relaxing in shelter and hasn’t had the opportunity to let his guard down and just be a carefree pup. He’s looking for a patient, loving breed- savvy family who will take things slow and give him a chance to settle in.Buccaneer has been independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Buccaneer has all the potential to be a faithful companion once he settles into a home with structure, patience and predictable routines. If you believe that good things (and dogs!) are worth waiting for, give Buccaneer a chance and let him show you what a very good dog he can be. Ask about him today!

Story
We rescued Calypso from the shelter about 4 months ago. She is 2 years old and a very sweet, loving girl who wants to be wherever you are. She's wonderful with our kids, loves attention, thinks she's a lap dog, and loves ice!Calypso seems to have had a difficult past and needs patience and confidence-building. She gets along great with one of our huskies, but struggles with our other strong-willed husky. We unfortunately don't have the time or experience to give them both the training they need. She's afraid to go outside alone and may have accidents if you don't go with her. We're looking for a patient, loving home, preferably with someone experienced with huskies, who can give her the training, reassurance, and attention she deserves.
