Story
Shaggy is a 58-pound Alaskan Malamute with a friendly, social personality and a big love for life. He enjoys playing with toys, going on walks, and soaking up all the love and attention he can get. Shaggy is a great dog who gets along well with others and does an excellent job respecting different play styles. He walks nicely on leash and is always happy to head out for an adventure. Shaggy does have three legs, but it doesn’t slow him down one bit—he still loves to play, romp, and be part of the action just like any other dog. A meet and greet at the shelter is required to ensure he’s the perfect fit for your home. Shaggy is ready to bring joy, companionship, and lots of fun to his new family! ------ Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Story
Meet Maxx, a handsome and energetic young dog who carries the intelligence and independent spirit of his Alaskan Malamute heritage in a unique, less-fluffy package. Weighing around 75 pounds, this one-year-old is ready to bring his loyal and playful personality to a forever home.Maxx is a dog with character. He loves plush toys and squeakers, staring at his reflection, and a good game of basketball. He is an independent companion who appreciates his own space but is always ready to lend a helping paw, whether it be by pushing open doors to help bring in groceries or ringing the doorbell. His most endearing trait is the warm, cuddly welcome he gives when his people return home.He has a fantastic foundation thanks to his foster family. Maxx is house-trained, crate-trained (and prefers to sleep in his crate even with the door wide open), and knows basic commands like `sit` and `stop.` He loves his walks and is making great progress on leash manners, though he will do best with a confident walker who can continue his training. He has been good with older children and shows a playful curiosity toward other dogs on walks.Maxx is looking for an active, patient family who can provide him with the love and structure he needs to truly thrive. If you are ready for a devoted and wonderful companion, ask about Maxx today!Maxx is located in Houston, Tx and can be transported to most states for $300.00

Story
Meet Amaterasu – A Loyal, Energetic Companion Ready for Her Next Adventure I'm a Roadside Rescue! My fee is $100! Amaterasu is a stunning 6-year-old Labrador Retriever Mix, weighing in at 71 lbs, with a strong spirit and a heart full of love. She is very people friendly and absolutely thrives on attention and human companionship. Highly intelligent and active, Amaterasu would do best with an experienced, active adopter who can match her energy and give her the mental and physical stimulation she craves. She walks very well on leash and enjoys getting out and exploring the world with her people by her side. Amaterasu is dog selective, so if you have another dog at home, a meet and greet is required to ensure compatibility. She may prefer to be your one-and-only, soaking up all the attention for herself. If you’re looking for a bold, loyal, and intelligent companion, Amaterasu could be the perfect addition to your life. ---- Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet.
