Story
Benji is the sweetest boy! He loves walks, playing with soccer balls, horse balls, bubbles, playing fetch...you name it! He was raised amongst cats and dogs. He loves all animals. He is working on his paws being groomed, and he will communicate to you that he doesn't like it by growling, but he will participate with a firm hand. He has gotten a lot better with it, so just needs more practice. The more comfortable he is around you and your rules, the more he respects you and listens to you. He loves going into his crate, especially when food is involved! He is very food motivated. He needs a family with rules, because he learns very quickly. He knows paw, hug, fetch, down, stay, sit, leave it, and come here. He is able to listen well with minimal distractions in the environment. Every new person that tries to get him to listen to them will need to remain firm because he does like testing your authority. Within a week, as long as the rules remain consistent, he will understand.

Story
Hi-My name is Logan and I'm a Diamond Dog. Please ask about the special perks that come with my adoption.I LOVE: treats, toys and butt scratches!I KNOW: the commands Sit and Paw. I'm an excellent walker and I politely accept treats. The volunteers say I am well behaved and easy to handle.IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE: to join you on a walk, I'm your guy. Let's walk in the shade because all this fur is too much for the Florida sun (and please bring water). However, my fur coat will keep you warm during the two weeks of winter we have. I AM SPECIAL BECAUSE: I put the hunk in chunk!

These pups are in Lakeland, Florida too!

Story
I was adopted from Petland, Orlando at just 2 months and now I’m 4! My birthday is April 2nd, and I’m a purebred American Akita. I weigh ~85lbs. I’m a very good boy, but mom says I’m stubborn. Other info about Theo: -house trained BUT will bolt out the front door -very destructive if bored/anxious -knows Sit, Stay, Paw, Come, Inside, Outside, Cage, Down -leash trained -missing a toe (back left) -loves playing tug of war -will occasionally fetch -loves hiking and car rides -good guard dog -good with small animals/kids -minimal barking -sensitive skin -2x/yr heavy shedding -used to monthly grooming *I am trying to be as honest as possible so whoever his new family is knows what they are getting into. Akitas are for experienced dog owners. He needs structure and plenty of attention. Theo would thrive with a great yard and consistency. Please do your research about American Akitas before inquiring. The $500 adoption fee will go towards paying Petland account off and is negotiable.
