Some dogs dream of scaling mountains. Kodiak dreams of air conditioning, a comfy couch, and minding his own business. This 5-year-old Alaskan Malamute is a gentle fluffy giant with an old-soul personality and a talent for perfecting the art of relaxation. Equal parts majestic and mildly ridiculous, Kodiak prefers leisurely strolls over cardio, cool weather over sunshine, and naps over just about everything else.Kodiak came to us after a rather unfortunate snack choice landed him in emergency surgery — apparently baby socks are *not* part of a balanced diet, despite what Kodiak may have believed at the time. With a new baby in the home and not enough time to manage his habits and needs, his previous family made the difficult decision to help him find a better-suited home. Now fully recovered, Kodiak is ready to start his next chapter with someone who appreciates a mellow companion with a little bit of malamute sass.His former family describes him as a relaxed couch potato, and we couldn’t agree more. He knows “sit” and “paw,” has previously lived well with both dogs and cats, and does best when left safely crated during alone time — mostly because Kodiak occasionally mistakes household objects for appetizers if given the opportunity. While he’s a sweet boy, Kodiak is also a dog who values his boundaries. He prefers calm, respectful interactions and likes to enjoy his meals in peace without interruptions. Because young children often leave tempting items lying around and may not yet understand those boundaries, we are recommending a home with older children only.Kodiak isn’t looking for chaos, marathons, or constant excitement. He’s looking for soft beds, cool floors, quiet companionship, and someone who understands that sometimes the best adventures are simply existing together in comfortable silence. If your ideal best friend is a giant fluffy roommate with excellent lounging skills and just enough personality to keep you laughing, Kodiak is waiting to meet you.Requirements: Martingale Collar; Children 8yrs+All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.

​Boomer is a majestic 8-year-old Alaskan Malamute with a big heart and an even bigger personality. True to his breed, he is a "talker" who loves to communicate with expressive howls and "woo-woos" to tell you about his day. While he is a loyal and calm companion who enjoys his naps, he has recently experienced some transition anxiety due to a move, which has led to some potty accidents in his crate. We are looking for an experienced owner who understands the Malamute temperament and can provide a patient, consistent routine to help him feel secure again. Boomer deserves a home where his vocal nature is celebrated and where he can enjoy his senior years with a family that values a devoted, fluffy best friend.

Neighbor had a litter. Year & half old. Very sweet dog. Super fun. Very entertaining. Expects back scratches & belly rubs. The kids he has been around are ages 8 - 12. He does well with a lot of people & dogs.I only heard him bark at the squirrel or the neighborhood possum.Loves to play ball outside. Great in the car. On the trail. He can play with big dogs.

Meet Chance 🐾 9 year old Chance is a sweet, playful, and curious Husky/Malamute mix who loves being outside and spending time with his people. He’s an incredibly empathetic boy with a fun personality and the cutest Husky bark-howl to match! Chance is 86 pounds of love. He is on a mission to achieve his summer body with more walks and fun activities! In true Husky style, Chance may sneak into the trash or sample food left on the counter if given the chance — he’s smart and always on the lookout for snacks. He even enjoys watching animal shows on TV and will happily respond (his favorite is The Lion King). Chance is fully housebroken and sleeps happily in his dog bed (not crate trained). He does well on leash, though squirrels can still make walks exciting! He knows sit, give paw, and up, and loves walks, car rides, and outdoor time. He’s wonderful with kids of all ages and does great with medium and large dogs. Chance would thrive in a home with a yard and an active family. A dog friend would be a bonus, but he’d also be perfectly happy as the center of attention soaking up all the love. Chance does have a thyroid condition that is easily managed with affordable daily medication. His previous owners also shaved him due to a skin issue, so his gorgeous husky coat is currently growing back in. He doesn't let any of that slow him down! Chance is fostered in Sarasota. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. Meet Holly, a beautiful Alaskan Malamute with a gentle soul. I’m a breeder release girl who came all the way from Kansas after being used for breeding over and over again and not having the best past. Now that chapter of my life is behind me, and I’m ready for the love and comfort I’ve always deserved. I’m an older lady who would truly thrive in a lowkey lifestyle with someone who understands my breed and appreciates my calm, steady nature. I’m good with other dogs, walk nicely on a leash, and absolutely love cuddling up on a soft, cozy bed. All I’m hoping for now is a peaceful home where I can finally relax and be cherished.
