  Hi! I'm Canyon. I am a 5 month old, 35 lb Alaskan Malamute/Blue Heeler mixed puppy. I am a little cautious sometimes but outgoing other times. I love car rides, going on walks, playing in water, and playing with my doggie friends. I like cats too. I check in with my foster mom and dad to have my hugs several times a day. I am so proud of myself and happy to say I'm house and crate trained. I am food motivated too. I know to come when I'm called because I get a treat. Yummy!    If interested in adopting go to Strayhavenpets.org and fill out an application to adopt me. I can't wait to meet you. The adoption fee for puppies under 6 months of age is $265. If the puppy is too young or small to be fixed there will be a $75 spay/neuter rebate form provided.     Hi. I'm Boulder. I am a 5 month old, 35 lb. Malamute/Blue Heeler mixed puppy. I am very outgoing, happy-go-lucky, and I absolutely love people. I am not afraid of anything. I'm always up for a new adventure. I love to go on car rides, play with friends, and go on walks. I love the water and running through the tunnel on our well our obstacle course. I love other dogs and I'm pretty good with cats. But, if they run I chase them. I know I'm not allowed. I just can't help myself sometimes. I am food motivated so you can redirect with a treat. Or just squirt me with a squirt bottle. I prefer the treat, ok?! Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! NOT!! I am a snuggle bug looking for tummy scratches....I willl MELT for one!! Here is what one of our amazing fosters have to say about Dakota...."Super freaking sweet, loves loves belly rubs, is very strong when you walk him but listens well. VERY treat motivated and knows sit down paw and i just taught him roll over yesterday but its a work in progress 😝. Super playful, he will pounce around you and then roll over for belly rubs and absolutely melts for the belly rubs and kisses" I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Now, before you go all "Lion King" on me, just know that I will be your bestest buddy forever!! I am two VERY loyal breeds and once I know you are my family, you will have my unending love :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
