Story
Meet Gorgeous Dark Brindle Akita Klive!
Klive is a 6 month old full Akita saved from a puppy mill and he is already coming in around 60 lbs, so he is going to be a big boy. He has the most beautiful markings and that dark face, with those piercing eyes...you have to wonder what he is thinking, but then I realize he is thinking about his next toy! Klive is always on the lookout, any stops to listen to any new noise, I think those ears are antenna's! :)
Klive's favorite things are the outdoors and his toys! He loves all kinds of toys, but squeaky ones and bones are his favorite. He is doing great on potty training, most of the time he will wait for his outside play time or he will go on potty pads in his enclosed room. He does Great on a Leash and Car Rides as well.
Klive will lean into you for pets all the time and he likes to give you a few kisses while you are giving him a good rub. He seems to be good around other dogs as a puppy, but since he is going to be on the large side, you would have to watch him not to step on others. He doen't realize his size and Akita's like to "touch" with their paws, and his are not small!
This boy will do about anything for a treat and you will be his person if you are the one giving them to him! If you are looking to have a Beautiful Big New Best Friend...Klive is the one for you!
Eventhough Klive loves to go on walks and smell everything, he will also Require a Fenced yard to release some of his energy. His zoomies are for real. When he stretchs out and runs, he looks so beautiful!
Akita's are AMAZING dogs, but not for everybody, please read up on the breed before applying.
Klive is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. His adoption fee is $300.00.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
