Story
Hi! I'm Polar Vortex.  I am a lovable, stubborn, energetic pup around 3-4 years old! True I am a big puppy and I need lots of guidance and training to ensure that I am set up for success in my life. Where I am staying currently there are no toys, human food or treats allowed as I haven't fully learned how to share. I love playing with the resident dogs. Speaking of the resident dogs I am with, I LOVE PLAYING ROUGH with them. I love to raise my big strong paw and give a smack to get the wrestling match started! I am a stereotypical Malamute in that respect. My foster mom says that it comes with Malamute territory and with being a puppy. I know how to kennel up, and I have been allowed to free roam when the humans leave. I didn’t cause trouble either way while the humans were away. I do eat my meals in the kennel so I can eat in peace, again not a fan of sharing... yet. I am a very smart, yet stubborn. I do not care for car rides at the moment. I will get into the car if and when I choose. My foster mommy is working on enticing me with treats to get into the car. I will admit, it is starting to work. I am still a puppy who wants to play. I am eager to learn the skills though and once I have them my foster mom says I will be a wonderful companion. Ooooh, and I almost forgot, I take treats very nice, you hardly know I am grabbing the treat from your hand. I am almost fully potty trained! My foster mommy also calls me her “little” velcro puppy. I want to make sure she is still home so I follow her everywhere. I really like sleeping with her at night on the big soft bed. She finds it funny that I currently don’t jump onto the couches, but I have no issue sleeping on the big soft bed with her at night. Who knows, maybe I will surprise everyone and start jumping onto the couches as I now understand the pleasures of sleeping on a human bed.  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $475.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 12, 2026, 3:13 pm

Story
We found Ellie in our fenced in yard when she was 4 months old. We assume she was abandoned there. We posted all over social and with local agencies, but no one came for her. She was not microchipped either. We decided to microchip and adopt her. Ellie is very funny and loving and snuggly. However, we have a 6 year old pit mix, and Ellie is not dog friendly, which is why we are looking to re-home. She has had no issues with people, but our children are older (11 years +) and so we assume she would do better with older children. She has a beautiful singing voice (IYKYK) and loves belly rubs. She is kennel trained and spends up to 8 hours a day in there. She is very curious and can jump, so being in a secure yard or on a leash is best. We will miss her, but she needs to be an only dog as she is not getting along with our older dog.

Story
Pearl is a very playful big girl so she would do best without children under 5. She gets the zoomies and will accidentally knock you over. Alot of these issues might be able to be solved with a trainer we don't have the time or money to do that. She would prefer to have a fenced in yard she loves the outdoors. She does not like other dogs since she was attacked on a walk while a young pup. She has never been around cats but she chases anything small like bunnies and squirrels so I wouldn't trust her. She will be turning 4 on May 10th. She is kennel trained. She would do best with someone experienced and confident to work out some of quirks. She's not a huge fan of being groomed. We have 2 small children at home and it's just not fair for her to live in a kennel. We would be interested in taking her back if she wouldn't work out in her new home. We have had her since 7 weeks and love her so much but just want what's best for her.

Story
Keyoko is the sweetest girl you will ever meet. She had been living a good life until her owner died and she - and her buddy Zeus - suddenly found themselves at the shelter with nowhere to go. One of our wonderful fosters has agreed to take both of them in until we can find their new forever homes. In addition, a kind supporter has sponsored part of her adoption fee to help her get settled soon. At 8yrs old, Keyoko is still playful and loves to cuddle with her people. She is looking for a safe and loving home. If you think that could be yours, click on the big black button marked "Ask About Me" and we will send you an application. This dog is being fostered in TN but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! NOT!! I am a snuggle bug looking for tummy scratches....I willl MELT for one!! Here is what one of our amazing fosters have to say about Dakota...."Super freaking sweet, loves loves belly rubs, is very strong when you walk him but listens well. VERY treat motivated and knows sit down paw and i just taught him roll over yesterday but its a work in progress 😝. Super playful, he will pounce around you and then roll over for belly rubs and absolutely melts for the belly rubs and kisses" I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Now, before you go all "Lion King" on me, just know that I will be your bestest buddy forever!! I am two VERY loyal breeds and once I know you are my family, you will have my unending love :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
