She’s an outgoing, people-loving dog who truly shines around children and enjoys being part of the action with her family. If you’re looking for a companion who wants to be involved in daily life, NFL is your gal. True to her Husky roots, NFL thrives in cooler weather and loves long, frequent walks, hikes or runs. She has a medium energy level — happy to get out and explore, but also content to relax once she’s had her exercise. She’s intelligent and eager to learn, though she does have that signature independent streak that makes Northern breeds so unique and full of character. And yes, she can be a little vocal when she’s excited — it’s all part of her personality! NFL gets along well with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship. However, she has a strong prey drive and cannot live with cats. A cat-free home is a must for everyone’s comfort and safety. With her friendly nature, love of activity, and loyal spirit, NFL would do best with a family that enjoys the outdoors and understands the needs of an active breed. In return, she’ll offer companionship, personality, and plenty of adventures. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved.
