Story
Bruno’s Second Chance
Before rescue found Bruno, life had been anything but kind. He’d faced challenges no dog should have to endure, and yet, through it all, he held onto a gentle spirit and a heart full of hope. Though the world had shown him its harsh side, Bruno never let go of his ability to trust. In fact, he’s still eager to offer something rare and wonderful—unshakable friendship and loyalty to the family lucky enough to call him their own.
Bruno doesn’t believe in bad days. Every morning is a new adventure, and every person is a potential best friend. His tail wags with joy, his eyes sparkle with mischief, and his whole body radiates love. He’s the kind of dog who makes you feel like the most important person in the world just by being near you.
You might be surprised to learn that Bruno is a tripod—he lost one of his hind legs due to an injury that couldn’t be repaired. The decision to amputate wasn’t taken lightly by the rescue, but Bruno showed them there was never anything to worry about. From day one, he didn’t miss a beat. He runs, plays, and loves with the strength and determination of a dog who knows how precious life can be. Bruno doesn’t dwell on what he’s lost—he celebrates what he still has: a zest for life, a heart full of love, and a future wide open with possibilities.
Bruno gets along wonderfully with other dogs and absolutely adores people. Whether it’s a game of fetch, a snuggle on the couch, or a simple walk in the sunshine, he’s just happy to be by your side.
