Meet Ruby 💎 Ruby is an extremely sweet and loving girl. She loves her people so deeply and isn’t biased on who gets her love! A giant bucket of pure joy! She loves to chew her toys and indulge in her treats! Also has the endurance for short walks and loves to explore new things to sniff! But she takes a strong arm as she is learning to not pull still. Continuing training with her is ideal as she has some catching up to do! With proper introductions- she happily has lived with dogs before and still lives with cats! She does get overwhelmed with young children so we think it’s best that kids are older and respectful of animals. She is crate trained, potty trained and knows basic commands. The parts we know of her past is heartbreaking! She was rescued from the kill list at Devour Animal Shelter. She was obviously used as a breeder dog who had many litters with the c section scars to prove it! Her back leg muscles were weak and she had urine burns which means she didn’t get time out of a crate besides being bred. Due to her past, she takes time to trust that other dogs are her friends. Ruby has been vaccinated, microchipped and fixed! She is ready for her new home! Ruby is about 5 years old.

Story
Sprout is a very sweet 1 year old grey bulldog mix - he has a severely hypoplastic trachea (breed related) - this means his airway (`windpipe`) is very narrow. This is something he was born with. This makes him at severe risk of respiratory distress if he becomes overexcited or overstimulated, even moreso than other flat faced dogs who just have a short nose. Therefore, a shelter environment is not an ideal or safe environment for Sprout. He is available for a committed adopter or rescue who is able to keep him in a calm environment, understanding that he is medically fragile.

Story
Foster, Adopt OR Foster-to-Adopt me! Sweet pittie Tito has beautiful eyes, a contagious grin… and a purr?    Tito is a gentle and healthy 2+ year-old boy.  He is potty-trained, walks on a loose leash, and knows sit, down, stay, come, shake & touch.  Tito loves the treats he gets when learning new tricks, so he is easy and fun to train.   Tito likes to spend most of his day snoozing, preferably with his head resting somewhere on your person.  He enjoys walks, but would rather burn off energy playing tug with you or wrestling with another dog.  This quiet boy rarely barks, but makes piggy snuffling sounds when he’s interested in or happy about something.  (When he’s relaxed, the snuffling sounds like a purr.  We think he’s a pittie-pig-cat hybrid.)   Tito loves befriending anyone who offers cuddles and a treat.  If you sit in his presence, you have invited him to climb onto your lap and kiss your face.  And then to lie down on your lap for a lengthy snooze, interrupted by brief breaks for more cuddles and kisses.   Tito loves all other dogs.  He was curious when introduced to a cat, but rapidly decided this was another nap-and-cuddle buddy.  We recommend Tito not live with children under 5; he loves kids, but doesn’t understand he’s too big to sit on their laps.  Tito needs a patient family that commits to positive training methods – this gentle boy needs spoiling, not discipline! This sweet and gentle girl is new to SVPP and just beginning her journey of discovering what it means to be a beloved pet—and we’re already smitten! Her DNA test helped us get to know her a bit better. This beautiful dog is part American Bully, part German Shepherd, and 100% sweet! Lila may be a little shy at first, but it doesn’t take long for her affectionate personality to shine through. Once she feels safe, she quickly warms up to new people and enjoys their company. She’s already made friends with another young dog in her foster home and shows respectful deference to the semi-feral resident cat—what a polite pup! Having spent her first year living outdoors, life in a home is full of “firsts” for Lila. She’s picking up house training beautifully and is bravely learning all about new things like TVs, vacuums, and sprinklers. Every day brings a new adventure, and Lila is meeting it all with curiosity and courage. She’s a dream on leash—calm and composed, though she can’t help but get a little excited when she spots birds or squirrels. Car rides? No problem! Meet Mongo! The beefcake English bulldog of Cat Crew is ready for his debut! He is just as charming as he is adorable! We scooped him up from the shelter with horrific skin issues, ear infections (stupid foxtails), eye infections, dehydrated, over heated, diarrhea and of course not neutered! We are guessing someone used him to breed for your Craigslist puppies but when he got too old he got dumped. We rushed him right to the vet for immediate care and he is healing beautifully! He is a senior boy at about 7 years old (they do not have the long lives we wish). He has dry eyes and will continue to need 2 eye drops daily, which is a very common bulldog issue. He is a very good boy and tolerates it just fine! Due to this going untreated for so long he is partially blind in one eye and completely blind in the other. But it truly doesn’t stop him from being your shadow in the garden or hopping on the couch! Bulldogs do also not tolerate the heat well so a cool climate or powerful AC is a must! He lives in a home with another dog and cats. He doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body and everyone truly is his instant best friend! So if you’re committed to giving Mongo the best rest of his years with payment of wiggly nubby booty and the most gentle kisses- he is your guy! Mongo will be neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. Mongo is about 7 years old.
