Things haven’t been easy for Stout. She lost her human mom to metastatic breast cancer at only 34 years old. Her mom’s death, plus two and a halfyears of chemo treatments and overnight hospital stays, were hard on Stout. She struggles to meet new people, other dogs, cats (or anything with a pulse) - but for what she lacks in bravery and basic social skills, Stout makes up for with the most exuberant emotional support. Seriously, if you’ve been looking for a 65-pound weighted blanket with legs, Stout might be your dog. She will squish the tears right off your face with her tiny snout and then curl up in your lap, whether you asked for it or not. Stout’s foster family genuinely wish that they could keep her, but she just doesn’t get along with the other dogs in the house. Since coming to her foster family 9 months ago Stout has had to live on a crate-and-rotate schedule, and the family wants to give her the opportunity to live the full life that she deserves - even if it’s a long shot.

At just 2 years old, this sweet American Bulldog mix was abandoned at the shelter while suffering from a painful vaginal prolapse and in the early stages of labor. She had to endure the unimaginable—delivering her puppies in those conditions. One tiny life was lost at birth, and another on the way to the emergency vet, but through it all, Dolly ’s strength and love never wavered. Rescuers rushed to save Dolly and her litter, and despite everything, she proved to be an incredible mother. Thanks to her care, her puppies grew strong and are now thriving in their forever homes. Now, it’s Dolly ’s turn to find hers. Dolly has undergone surgery to prevent future litters and to repair her prolapse, and has had surgery to correct entropion in both eyes—making her world much more clear. She is house trained, crate trained, great with other dogs, and loves her walks. After all she’s endured, Dolly deserves a family who will love her as fiercely as she has loved her babies. Kirby is a male,mixed breed,7- 8 yrs old. Got him as a puppy from Los Banos shelter.The shelter told me he was a Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier mix, i had a DNA done and report said 50% American Bulldog,25% Dachshund, 12.5% Jack Russell, 12.5% Chihuahua. He gets groomed every month. Enjoys walks and is a loving dog. When he's asleep, you can't pick up and carry, he has an attitude. Same when asleep when you go next to his crate scares him. He also likes to bury himself slowly under a blanket and sleep on couch. Still has zoomies.He sleeps in crate, he knows as "his room". He grew up with 2 dogs-a chiweenie and frenglish bulldog. Lately, my frenglish bulldog has been fighting with Kirby and hurting him in the process and I fear for Kirby's safety. All these years have been ok, don't know why sudden two get into it now. I'd like to rehome him preferably bonds more to females, who can spend more time with him and maybe be the only dog. But maybe ok with 1 other dog, no cats.
