Story
Flower is an absolutely wonderful dog and it pains us to attempt finding her a new home but unfortunately, the other resident female and her don't get along. She really just wants all the love and attention! It is understandable though, given her past. :( We fostered Flower out of the Stockton Shelter where she was next on the euthanasia list. We found out that she had previously spent her whole life making puppies from a cage outside. We ended up adopting her as her previous owner was looking to take her back to that life! No way! Now, she is so happy and fun! She has been fully enjoying her new lease on life. She really does have a wonderful personality and we love her very much. She is so cute, quirky and happy! While she would love a home where she is the main gal, she has been very comfortable with larger male dogs (female dogs, small dogs and cats should be avoided). She gives the best cuddles, butt wiggles, does fantastic in the car and kids love her!

Story
I am reaching out to the community during a very difficult time for our family. My sister is currently in the ICU at Stanford Hospital awaiting a possible liver transplant, and because of the uncertainty surrounding her recovery, we are looking for someone who may be able to foster her two dogs and give them a safe, loving home during this time. These two dogs are brother and sister and are very bonded, so we are hoping to find someone who could keep them together if possible. Skylar is a Micro American Bully / American Bulldog, Very loving, playful, and affectionate. Kodak is a French Bulldog, Male - about 5 years old (neutered) He is Sweet, calm, and loves cuddles and being around people. They are both wonderful dogs who have been very loved and cared for. This situation happened unexpectedly, and we are doing everything we can to make sure they continue to be safe and cared for while my sister focuses on fighting for her health.

Story
Kirby is a male, mixed breed,7- 8 yrs old. Got him as a puppy from Los Banos shelter. The shelter told me he was a Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier mix, i had a DNA done and report said 50% American Bulldog,25% Dachshund, 12.5% Jack Russell, 12.5% Chihuahua. He gets groomed every month. Enjoys walks and is a loving dog. When he's asleep, you can't pick up and carry, he has an attitude. Same when asleep when you go next to his crate scares him. He also likes to bury himself slowly under a blanket and sleep on couch. Still has zoomies. He sleeps in crate, he knows as "his room". He grew up with 2 dogs-a chiweenie and frenglish bulldog. Lately, my frenglish bulldog has been fighting with Kirby and hurting him in the process and I fear for Kirby's safety. All these years have been ok, don't know why sudden two get into it now. I'd like to rehome him preferably bonds more to females, who can spend more time with him and maybe be the only dog. But maybe ok with 1 other dog, no cats.

Story
This is Drakeo, he is 4 years old. He was left with me by his owner at my house and financially I can't afford to care for him as I am a single mom, already have another dog and financially in a hard spot. He is not an American Bulldog there was no option to select for his breed, He is an American Bully with papers. He is a very sweet boy, good with kids and dogs. He has mainly been an outside and it also crate trained. I am looking for a forever loving home for him.

Story
Juneau is a special girl looking for a special family! Juneau is about a year old, and she is a sweet girl who loves treats and being with her people and dog friends. Juneau came to us as a young puppy after being raised on the streets. She has blossomed in foster care and is now ready to find her fur-ever home. Juneau currently weighs about 60lbs and appears to be mostly fully grown. Juneau was transferred to us from our friends at BONES Pet Rescue. She was found with her three brothers on the nearby Native American reservation without their mom. After some TLC with BONES, the puppies were transferred to us. The three boys have been adopted, so now it's Juneau's turn to have her happy ever after ending. Juneau is a bashful and submissive girl who will need a patient family. She is shy of new people and unsure of new things and being in new places, but once you earn her trust, she is such a wonderful companion. She loves cuddles on the couch and will happily keep you company while you work from home or get chores done around the house. Food is definitely the way to her heart. She is starting to go on walks and has been doing better and better every day. Juneau is a goofy puppy who loves playing - especially with the other dogs in her foster home. She will need a committed family that understands that she needs lots of time to build trust. We are looking for someone with large-dog experience, extra points if you have owned a fearful dog before. Juneau loves other dogs and has been a great playmate to lots of other foster puppies who have been cared for in her foster home. Having a confident dog buddy really helps Juneau feel safe, so she will need a friendly dog sibling in her new home to help her succeed. Juneau currently lives with dog-savvy cats and can be pretty obnoxious trying to play with them. With a slow introduction and proper supervision, she may do well living with other dog-savvy cats, but would be too much to live with shy cats. Juneau has been doing well living with teenagers. Juneau is house and crate trained. She is happy to sleep in her crate overnight and hang out in there during the workday. She needs a home with a backyard and would do best in a quiet neighborhood, as she will alert you to unknown noises outside. Juneau deserves to find a great family to love her as much as we do.  If you think that might be you, fill out an application today!   Juneau's adoption fee is $300.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. March 7, 2026, 9:47 pm
